this is the type of ******** that goes on at FerrariChat, Canossa gets blamed for having $500 tickets at Cavllino while Pebble and Quail have had 4-digit tickets for years 2-3x what Canossa charges, then when someone posts the Quail prices then it is joked about Canossa. Y'all are stoopid!
It still sells out so a little hard to call it over priced. I quit thinking it was worth it at $200 and that was when I lived an hour and a half away. Everyone places a different value on things and I admit I'm cheap. If I spend $1600 it better facilitate launching high velocity pieces of lead.
there is zero to disagree about, all facts. Canossa does not own Quail, Cavallino tickets still lower 3-digits, Quail 4-digits.
As someone who attended the Quail for the beginning few years, and as more than just an attendant at Cavallino for 18 yrs, I am familiar.
LOL...I stopped going before it got to $200! I wonder if the event is 8x better at the current price? I remember it as just another fancier car show, more than a "cars and coffee" but less than a Pebble Beach lite. You went to Quail as something to do between the concourse and the historics at Laguna. It must be a big deal now if it sells out at $1600/tix. Funny how you don't buy a ticket for quail but you buy a "credentials"...how "upper crust" I like the marketing!
For past few years, I've been receiving free ticket offers to both The Quail & P.B. but haven't gone up to take advantage of them. I might have a good enough reason to go next summer. I've heard they may have not actually sold out in past few years, hence the "credential", "upper crust" marketing/pricing approach. People are gullible.
Some of the Fchat guys are making the run up hwy 1 to Monterey for car week. I might drive up and back with the guys skip the event and do some flyfishing north and east Trinity/American/Feather
Are you going to be out here in August? A run up the coast in fun cars is always good fun. Pack a flyrod and we will fish.
Is John from denver going to make the drive too? It sounded like some of the guys were going to ship cars to Craig in Redondo and make the drive from there? Is that true?
So far a handful of us are sending cars to FastCars in Redondo Beach to make the drive up the coast for car week in Monterey. The idea is to take two days to make the trip with a nice overnight stop along the way. More info here. Hopefully as we get closer to August more guys will commit, but soon enough we can coordinate a block of rooms at a hotel with good accommodations for our caravan. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/monterey-car-week-2025.702035/
I don't have any reservations. I don't have any tickets. Pebble is a mad house. I'll go visit my daughter in SV and/or go fishing with FBB.
