this, ferrari won't give up on the power wars - their cars are already (and have been for some time) way too fast for the road most people won't buy the new Ferrari replacement unless it's faster, regardless of whether they use the additional power etc 1000+hp isn't a huge deal anymore
Saw the Puro in person the other day. I still like it but have to be honest that in person it was a bit more ungainly than in pics. It was bigger than i felt it looked in pics. The hood is really tall. Too tall for my tastes. The wheel flares are awkward. Like i said, I still like it, and much better looking than the Urus. If I had $600k burning a hole in my pocket Id get one as a daily driver. But I dont. Having said that, I doubt the buyers of this car have to check their bank accounts to see if they can afford it.
What is more apt 365 to 456 (+100) is 575 to 599 (+120) 599 to F12 (+110) with the cheaper 296 being at 820 hp, I just can’t see Ferrari over-cutting itself. Your 870ish number does sound plausible. I admit, I may be wrong, just giving my $0.02
Thank you, that makes a lot of sense to me. Higher then the 296 and save the 1000+ hp for la Ferrari replacement. (Nodding) passes the smell test to me. Appreciate it.
Are we living in the same universe? Can you name one Ferrari model (besides the 208s for tax purposes) in the last 50 years that had less power than it's predecessor? The 296 is at 820, and SF90 is at 1,000 my friend, you really believe their successors will have fewer? Nobody can use 100% of many of the current cars outside a track, doesn't change the fact that exotic car manufacturers will continue to push the envelope. They have to. now in terms of if we will ever reach 'peak horsepower' maybe, but with the Lotus Evija at 2,000 hp - it's not here yet. I know many people here reject this 2,000 horsepower car because it's electric. These naysayers will say they are more 'hard core' and purer than former Formula 1 drivers like Jenson Button, what can I say, maybe they are? I just know talking to teenagers today (tomorrow's buyers) - they seem to like Iron Man's cars in the Marvel Universe more than Madmax's 73' Ford Falcon coal roller.
It has always been expected that the hp will increase with each new model. Thats not a hp war. We have slowly reach the 900/1000 hp evolution over decades. Now we have this 1500-2000hp crap that's where the war and its players are really at. Its crazy stupid what are they going to do when that slows down for them really soon ?
It's a gimmick..filled with Chrysler tech found in a minivan. Don't fall for it. It will be a service nightmare and a shop queen.
The more I see it the more I like it, although I have not seen one in person. As was said above if I had the cash it would be my daily driver.
same for me-- haven't seen in person but definitely growing on me.... I could never afford it, however... can't even afford the 3 cars I got lol
sports cars have been insanely overpowered for roads for awhile now but it hasn't stopped demand for faster and faster cars, it'll go on into 3,000 - 4,000hp over the next 30 years
They would be able to sell plenty of V6 hybrid with 800+ bhp at a lower price point … say $335k base price. After they phase out V12 SUV they will introduce new ‘top-of-the-line’ full EV 1,000 bhp SUV that will have base price of $450k and do 0-60 in 2.5 seconds.
This is EXACTLY right. Guys … this is really easy … all Ferrari has to do is give the F167 exactly 830 bhp ( 1 bhp more than SP3 Daytona ) and their marketing team can write press releases with the necessary country club bragging rights headline of “The most powerful V12 ever made in the history of Ferrari.” So that’s all they’re going to do. Maybe they add a handful of bhp on top for good measeure. That’s why it is easy to predict the bhp of F167 will be right around 835 bhp. Also, they have to give themselves the headroom to jump the F167 VS by at least 35 to 40 bhp to the probable max of roughly 875 bhp so that all of their Top and VIP clients fight over the swan song V12 special limited edition. This is easy stuff here.
Saw it at the Ferrari COTA event a few weeks back. More fun to look at than the Lambo. Wheels sure are large though. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The VIP etc got there's so now it's pretty much wide open. Really just limited by yearly production capacity now
Saw it today myself. Longer in length and shorter in height were my first impressions. A sculpted piece of art and functionality. Interior is plenty upscale enough, and very comfortable. Can't wait to start speccing.
Fantastic purchase! Let us know how you spec it. As for me, I’ll wait 5 years and see if it depreciates like the FF/Lusso, then potentially pull the trigger.
I saw one for the first time a few weeks ago. It was a moment i will never forget, and not for good reasons. The thing is even more hideous in real life.
