OP where are you? Any updates?
My car (360) is at Gran Turismo getting a major service. Will post back next week when I hopefully get it back. There were really only 3 shops on my list for service...Daytona, GT, and Cross Avenue (a little too far for me)
European Automotive in Oakville, and Cross Avenue Motors in Oakville. European Automotive now have the Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati and Aston capability amongst others. To me, their secret is they now have the excellent, all-knowing Tom Bakowsky (ex Cross Avenue). I have loyally followed Tom around for about 15 years, wherever he worked, and always been completely satisfied. Cross Avenue is a completely trustworthy, customer focussed shop, and stand by their workmanship. I have been a completely satisfied customer there also for over 15 years. Recommend both shops.
I just picked up the exhaust for the F430 while I was in NY last week. I will be installing it over the winter and posting pictures/video for a DIY. The S Line exhaust system is one of the better ones I've seen. The welds and hardware used are flawless. The tips are pretty decent and worthy Ferrari replacements. Although I feel badly replacing mine since its the factory racing system with black tips. It should be worth the nirvana F1 scream at high RPM.
I second the recommendation of Luxury Auto Body, this is an old world values operation, they like what they do and take pride in their work.
I'll second/third European Automotive. I bring all my cars there since Tom moved from Cross. A really good bunch of people who take care in their work.
This one: http://www.fcacanadaeast.com I think we should have our own. The Porsche guys put one together every year. We could do the same.
If we get enough interest then I don’t mind coordinating a gokart event for the Ferrari forum community. So far we have about 6 people joining.
Children are in different sized carts. I brought mine last year but they couldn’t do the FCA event due to the venues rules on safety, sizing, and carts. FCA and the venue let my kids run in-between FCA heats and pay separate for them. Ask Rocco to be sure but it felt ackward juggling logistics with my kids there but maybe that’s just me being self conscious and maybe no one else cared. I’m still debating going to the 25th FCA event, if Rocco and everyone is ok with it our kids can race? Rocco? I’m ok either way just want your event to run smooth [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
On another note, any recommends for good deals on tires? I need some 19s for a new set of wheels I bought.
Most competitive prices I ever found in the city. They are quick on install as well. Good luck with what your comparison shopping. https://steelcasetires.ca/
I've bought my last eight sets here: https://www.quattrotires.com/ Ships pretty quickly from Montreal (for free). I then have them installed at my favourite shop, where I know they'll be balanced properly. I've yet to see anyone come close to them in price.
I’ve always worried about buying tires online in the event the tire code on them were old. Have you ever checked the manufacturer date of the tires you bought? One time I found a smoking deal on some bf Goodrich snow tires at Canadian tire and when I checked the code date they were already 3 yrs old manufactured even though they were brand new. I passed on those tires. PS -everyone needs to check the tires they buy brand new before paying for them and putting them on their car. Many people not aware of the code dates of when the tires are made
