Thanks for the pics R J! Looks like a great day out...although shame about the rain. TDF blue and Grigio silverstone were the front runners for my colour choice - would love to here what you thought of them both in the flesh and if you thought there was a standout combo?
Final production photo - Nero Daytona. Posted about 2 weeks behind actual date that it was manufactured. Seat covers concealing the cuoio seats. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks amazing! Congratulations on a beautiful spec. Your's is the first final photo I've seen, thanks for posting... I am assuming it's on its way to Australia? Mine went status 60 today but I am yet to get my first production photo
Thanks. Hoping I made the right choice so reserving ultimate judgement until I see it with my own eyes down under which should be in next few weeks. I did however very much like my ND F12. Apparently modus received a significant software update earlier this year so some of the processes like the production photos are still out of sync. This contrasts with my previous experiences where the photos uploaded a few days after the relevant status update. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Excellent choice, looks very good! Looking forward to see more pictures on delivery. My spec includes giallo triplo strato but I‘m also considering a nero paint. I unfortunately have enough time to change the spec - estimated delivery 2019... Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk
That looks great Carlo. I really like the standard wheels in grey I see you chose cuoio inside. Which seat style? Can’t wait to see more pics. Congrats!
Had the 812 reveal at my Dealer last evening...triple yellow...I must say that car looks much more amazing in person, pictures do not do it justice.
Thanks - as I wanted this to be very much more GT oriented, I decided not to option the race seats similar to my TDF and stayed with the standard seats. I can't see myself tracking the 812 - will leave that role to the TDF. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks Jag - can't wait to see your tailor made 812 - am sure will be another amazing spec like your TDF.

Hi BG23, Based one the 812s at Fiorano I would very much lean away from Black wheels. I don’t think they suit the car at all. I think the complexity in the lines of the 812 really needs the punctuation of the Silver painted forged rims or the silver finish or diamond finish racing wheel (from the TDF). The black wheels disappear in the wheel arches.
Thank R J. I've ordered the standard rims in silver - was tossing up between those and the TDF style.
I was leaning toward Blu TdF or Blu Swaters based on the configurator. But in person I think I am preferring a Grigio - probably GT rather than Silverstone. I also liked those cars that had the contrast band over the dash and glovebox. The cars with the black band where fine, but I liked the exciting edge brought by the contrast band. Although for my subjective tastes I would get a contrast band in a sober colour and not red or yellow. Some photos of the cabin can jar a bit if you obsess over the lack of symmetry. The contrast band seems to exacerbate that in the photos. However in person from either passenger seat or drivers, I didn’t find any concerns by the off centre nature of the band compared to the central tunnel or a/c controls. So I would go for the contrast band (but sober colour). This is subjective of course. Many at Fiorano loved the red contrast in the Blu car (see photos in previous post). I would also opt for the carbon tunnel, bridge and vents. I thought I would avoid these but seeing them in person I preferred them to the alloy bridge and vents. Generally don’t like carbon cosmetics but they worked here.
When it comes to colours and specs it is all subjective, so just get what you like best. It doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks if you love it. One thing that is objective is that there really is a problem with alignment in the rear diffuser. It is not just optical illusion in some photos. One of the cars at Fiorano was ok. One or two were a little on the twist, and another was really on the bonk. It is always right side lower than left. I will post a photo up to show it is not optical illusion.
Left side of diffuser. Looking down into the diffuser. Notice the size of the gap between the bottom of the rear bumper and the bottom edge of the diffuser. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Now here is the right side on the same car. Notice how much closer the bottom edge is to the rear bumper. Image Unavailable, Please Login
