Wow - Thumbs up !! Hi , Newman , I still didn't have a chance to visit you in Barrie ; I am from Markham. Hope to meet you in person .. please pm me your contact and address.
By the looks of the pics Paul recently posted, I think a video may soon be in order with some amazing sounds! I am one of many that are so happy to see you complete the restoration of your family car to the highest level.
Maiden road test today and Im pleased with how it drove and it has great torque. Stock other than the higher compression pistons. Need to do some sorting and some other odds and ends but today was a very rewarding day. Yes it was fun but always a time where emotions are high too. How's it going to drive? Brakes? Power? Sound? All unanswered questions until the first drive. Always a gentle drive with senses on high and eyes watching gauges more than the road. The second drive is always better as you get acquainted with the car.
Well as a fellow Markamitte, I made the journey very recently to meet with Mr. Newman. Mr Newman was a gracious host, made time to meet me on short notice, and this man knows his stuff! The insult was that my significant other fell in love with Mr Newman with his, as she said, "good looks". Next time I will go to Barrie alone!
