    Saw them live in 1974, twice in two nights. Was lucky enough to be covering them for my college newspaper as a photographer. Two days of front row and backstage access.

    The only part that sucked was they were testing a new sound system, and the 1st show really suffered for it.

    The band sure has morphed over the years.

    This coming Saturday, January 7th, at 8 p.m. and again at 10 p.m.

    It included archival footage of Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix. This is really an exceptional documentary!

    Their original lead guitarist Terry Kath, was an amazing talent.

    Even before I saw this documentary, I was aware of the fact that Hendrix remarked he wished he played guitar as well as Terry did, and that's certainly saying something.

    In a lot of ways, I think Chicago was, and still is, and underappreciated group.
