    I was watching the original Godfather movie the other night. When Al Pacino's character has to flee America and hide out in Italy, he meets a local girl and gets married. In one scene he is teaching her to drive a car. A few scenes later, they are preparing for a trip and she starts the car which is wired with a bomb. It explodes. I was wondering what kind of car this was. It was a long 2 door coupe with a grill that looked like an Alpha Romeo. Sorry I don't have a picture. And did they REALLY blow up the car for the picture? Or did they use a full size mock-up. What a shame if they blew up the real thing.

    Considering that The Godfather was made almost 35 years ago, I would guess they blew up the real thing. I'd like to know what make it was as well...maybe a coachbuilt Lancia?
