September's EVO Magazine has a great article about Corse Clienti and XX programme, including a fantastic interview from Enrico Galliera, the senior vice president, commercial and marketing director and the person who is responsible about who gets a FXX K, what it will need to be part of this family and a big talk around XX cars.

Excellent article but i can't scan it because i'm abroad. So, if anyone has already the magazine and is able to upload a scan of it, it would be very appreciated....or i will have to type all the interview!

    LOL

I'll be honest I've never really got the point of these FXX cars but these pics are epic, especially #27, stunning, absolutely glorious. Damn it, I need to be checking cars off the list not adding them.

    For Ferrari :
Test beds to test new things for future production cars.
Opportunity to shift some of the development cost to customers.
    Amazing brand exposure.

    For owners :
    Exclusivity
Part for a racing program that seats between F1 Clienti and Ferrari challenge
The best way to get an allocation for any limited edition cars
Early preview of regular production cars and chances to get very early delivery

Whoever decided the launch the XX did a very smart move.

These programmes are referred to as "non-competitive racing". Firstly, even those of us who qualify as racing drivers would not want to race a modern day F1 car against others in a wheel to wheel battle. Too complicated and let's not even talk about what it would cost.
In the XX programmes the argument is basically the same.

However, there is a real competitive spirit when the lap times are analysed after each session. So while it may not be wheel to wheel on the track (although this does happen in XX...) there is a competition in terms of lap times. This becomes particularly interesting when those times are analysed as a function of the wear on the tyres used by each participant.

So these programmes are more than just track days. And then there is the privilege of having driven a modern, World Championship winning (in many cases) Formula 1 Ferrari as hard as you can on some of the world's most fabulous race tracks and believe me, that is a unique privilege.

Finally, given the current state of F1, how unappealing the cars are etc, it is wonderful to be able to see and hear the glorious V10s and V8s as well as the occasional V12 at full chat...

i like your choice of filling that entire nose indentation with the roof color, it goes well with the racy livery of fxxk. is it the same blue you picked for your laferrari? loved that subtle blue you got.
