Uh, just to quibble a bit: the 456 is not a "sports car."

    It's a GT.

    …perfect colour combination for a 456...

    456M manual, desirable car.

Do you or have you owned one? 456's shrink around you and when you select "sport" on a twisty mountain road they acquit themselves exceptionally well, better than I though it would.
Rather than screaming between corners the torque sucks the next corner in.

The Car also deserves some new youtube videos

    Yes, I own one.

Nice car with good moves and some luxury features.

But I wouldn't call it a sports car: not lithe enough, not hard-edged enough.

    Not that I'm complaining.

It's stable mate at the time, the 355: now THAT'S my idea of a sports car.

I like 355s however in the context of article I think what he is saying is the the 456 isn't a just a big GT which is the perception most non owners have of 4 seat Ferrari's.
And what's interesting is a 456 isn't as big as people perceive. Dimension wise, the styling is cleaver and parked amounts other "average size cars" it's not that big. A 599 is bigger in all but length.

A stylish classic GT car which ALWAYS puts a big grin on my face when out for a drive! Nothing like a V12.

Yes, but given the other choices, e.g. the many pared down, rapier reflexed cars Ferrari has made, the 456 cannot seriously be considered the "ultimate driving sports car."

Great sporty GT, no question about it.

Given manfuatures call 4wds sports utility vehicles the term sports is blurred even more than it was.

I have an '02 456M 3-pedal and absolutely love it, but I must admit that my 360 3-pedal is actually my favorite, although it can't carry 4 people.

I just wish the gas mileage were better on my 456 GT: 10-12 mpg, using non-ethanol.

    Whoa.
