Does that look like the front end of a 458 Spider? Larger version: https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/886717_499539153414678_1206364470_o.jpg Thanks to Shmee150 for the pic. >8^) ER Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think this is just like the time when I told all my friends that I was going to name my first born (ended up being a boy) after the title of an Elton John song. I was totally kidding but it get them all riled up. By the way, Tiny Dancer was the main choice. When asked what I would call him if it were a boy, I simply said, "T.D."
+1. That is no 458 Spider. Looks very much like the front of the F70 teaser and the side window outline is very similar to that of a the mule...but without a roof. I think that's it boys... -Gil
Mirrors mounted on the fenders or deception? Could be the angle, but appears the cover "falls" into a crevice on the front hood slightly.
Ok....I'm not ready for this to be a reality. Yes, a GREAT car can make it's name famous....but this car would have to be a time machine to make people stop snickering at 'LaFerrari'. 'THE Ferrari?' I get it. I just don't like it.
So maybe the "two versions" that we've been hearing about are coupe and targa/convertible? Very similar to the F50 by the looks of things. I cannot wait. -Gil
Does anyone know if the car being unveiled tomorrow will be the actual production model or will it be a "model" like when the P1 was first shown? -Gil
Or it could be a simple ploy to keep people guessing. It would not be hard to create the illusion of spider/targa under the cover to throw people off and have them think it's probably a 458 spider at first glance. Ferrari has been really great at this so far. Do you really think that they would lose the plot this close to the unveiling? I'm not saying that's the case for certain, just that it wouldn't surprise me.
The official facebook page does mention this car being the successor to the f50, and having an f1 derived engine. Also, I certainly stand corrected, that is not a 458.
I agree that they've done a phenomenal job at covering this car up (no pun intended) for as long as they have. But to me, it's very evident that the car under that cover: 1. Is NOT a 458 Spider 2. Does NOT have a full roof. I could eat my foot later but I don't think so. -Gil
Nope. In the original, Barnabas Collins was played by Jonathan Frid. In the 90's remake, Barnabas was played by Ben Cross.
I think the car under the cover is indeed the F70, but if I were ferrari and i could manage to keep the car secret to the last moment. i would put some (foam) pieces on the car to disguise the real angles because they are smart enough to know that at least someone could make a picture like this and put it on the internet. on the other side I would be laughing my ass off the F70 is a convertible. or that the so called second version is not a FXX kind a car but a convertible. I also think mclaren will come with a P1 convertible within 3 years.
