Lol, not to jump in for Ted, but I know what he means. Her win at Motegi was her first in anything other than a go-kart.
Pete, Sorry I wasn't being clear, I was referring to auto racing, not karts. I am aware of her karting career. It was at the Formula Ford Festival that most of us first heard of her, including Bobby Rahal who took an interest in her career. She has been a profound disappointment ever since, not least to Rahal.
Mostly because she pulled GoDaddy.com and Argent Mortgage (remember them?) sponsorship and took them with her to AGR. From the sponsorship draw perspective of a team owner, she's been an absolute dream and beat all her teammates!
She has always been a good qualifier. It's her race form that is in question. Let's see if that last win gives her some renewed confidence come race time.
If this is true, it doesn't matter because your first win has to be SOMEWHERE, in SOMETHING.... People have come with great credentials to Indy racing and have done very little, let alone win a race. Lots of 'older' F1 guys have come here and have done NOTHING. Michael Andretti went to McLaren and did NOTHING, so it goes around.
That may be, but how many folks have made it to a top level team in Indycars or F1 having done NOTHING before? I can't think of any. Don't even try to argue that Danica made it to AGR or Indycars on merit, she made it on looks and gender, nothing more.
