The carpet they sent was for a T I believe. I was missing the carpet for the tunnel covers. I contemplated an exotic skin to cover them. Then I went to local leather shop got some black leather and wrapped them in that. They turned out great.

The front seats came out ok. I think new leather will be in order on the front seats next winter.

And finally it's done. All that is needed is too clean it inside and out. What month it was I figure I have about 150 hours from start to finish.

I have the new door velvet rubber strips on the way and a few more things. I will be ready for all summer driving. Oh I still gave to install the new muffler and cat.

What a difference! In my opinion - you made a great choice in going to Tan.

As for a radio, these cars were shipped from the factory without radios. Purchasers would have a dealer install one. I have the paperwork from the purchase and dealer install in my 85. And, I still have the original Alpine cassette deck. I've temporarily removed it, as the belts on the cassette drive need replacing. In it's place, I've installed a cheap unit I bought at Frys. If you want an authentic type radio, there's always a couple of vintage 70s and 80s units on ebay.

Your car looks great!!! I'm a couple of days behind you, and now even more motivated to finish.

one thing I may recommend doing, is the middle a/c vent tilt-mod.

we just did it to sidtx's yesterday and it looks great! had a whole new kit of foam to re-insulate lost airflow, and tilts the vent forwards at more of a square angle towards the passengers. kind of like a /| angle change instead of sitting / against the dash.

we just have the console and seats left :)

There's a couple of threads in the Mondial forum about the kit.

Very professionally done. It looks great - in fact it looks better than the original Ferrari equipment. Kit came complete with everything - including new AC duct foam.

Here's a couple of pics. Excuse the Iphone quality.

Our own Ron Frohock makes the vent wedge kits, it really makes a difference with the AC in a Mondial.

The Mondi actually has a good AC system, but the factory vent points all the air at your knees, Ron's kit lets you get some air on your chest and face and replaces the failed foam that causes leaks.

My Wife will actually ride in the car now in the Florida heat!

me and sidtx were actually quite happy to see all 8 pieces of foam in the kit, even though it had stated that the yellow foam should have still been ok.

it wasn't ok on ours. it was pretty ugly.

    good kit!
