This is a great thread and useful for we Testarossa owners as well as BBs.

Is anyone willing to kick off a Testarossa "how to do it' thread that lists the work in the same way???

I'm way too shy to start the ball rolling :D

    Good morning,
Sometime my bb engine shut down or run with half cylinders (at idle with cold or hot engine), with no restart untill few minutes
All the fuel system has been checked, the distributor has been rebuilt.
Finally we put my ignition box an another BB512i and the trouble started again.
I found a used one in UK (no new available from Ferrari), but the problem is still there !
Y know that we can fit other ignition control box (not OEM Marinelli)...
Is someone have any idea ?
    thanks for your help
    Eric

    Good Morning, Eric,

you should probably post this as an own thread in the Boxers/TR/M forum. If you tried another AEC104B Dinoplex in your BBi and still have the same issues then chances are its not (only) the AEC104B ignition which is at fault, could also be the trigger setup or fuel injection issues. A failure of an AEC104B typically starts with missed ignitions and loosing engine power in higher revs or when the AEC104B gets hot due to usage.

For replacing the ignition have a look at the AEC104 section of the dinoplex site, there you'll find two wiring diagrams for replacing a defective AEC104B unit with an MSD6-AL2 ignition.

    http://www.dinoplex.org/#Dinoplex_AEC104

    good luck,
    Adrian
