    Hello All!

Curious as to the collective wisdom here about the GTC4. Very intrigued with the car and its practicality. Being used and probably not certified, wanted to know what people think about the differences in owning the V12 v. V8. While I think the V12 is probably the car to own, not sure if the potential issues with the AWD systems/computer might be a reason to go with the V8. Also seems to be more Lusso Ts for sale than V12s which makes for more choices. Thanks for the input/feedback!

V12, life is too short for compromises.
A Panamera Turbo may be better suited for those wanting a V8 and worrying about reliability.

The V8 handles better, but the V12 is just so awesome.

First thing I'd say: you can't go wrong. I don't think there's a better all-around car made. It's good at pretty much everything. And that's true for the V8 and the V12.

That said, I agree with the consensus here: V12.

Perhaps if you have an F12 or 812 in the garage already and just want a Lusso for the added practicality, I can see an argument for the V8.

But if you don't already have some variant of that engine, you can't turn down the chance to add one to your stable. There really is nothing like it. It's worth the eventual bill to repair the PTU.

My other advice: wait for the right car. If you don't see one you like on the market, keep looking. Obviously you won't find one that has every single option exactly as you would have spec'ed it. But if you're patient, you'll find the one. And you'll know when you've found it

I second this comment. Also, ask your dealer(s) about the spec you want. They might know a potential seller. When I sold my Lusso back, the dealer was immediately interested because they knew somebody who was looking for this exact spec. It made the whole process very easy for me.

Thanks for all the input. Definitely confirmed what I was thinking. I did own an F12 so appreciate the V12 engine. It's hard to be patient but that is also good advice. This will be replacing my BMW M5 Competition which I think is a phenomenal car - incredibly fast and capable and also very versatile and useful. It's just not a Ferrari.

I daily drive a V12 Lusso. Love it tremendously. You definitely need to get it up into the revs to feel the torque/power. Driving back and forth to work (highway/city) in auto comfort mode, it rarely will ever get above 2500rpm.
I’ve never driven the V8, but from what I’ve heard and read, the torque curve on the low end actually may make it a better car for daily driving duties, especially in town. Only time will tell if it’s valid, but I’d be concerned about resale values of the V8 in the future… but if you’re going to daily drive it and put a ton of miles on it, that may not matter at all.
They’re not exactly plentiful, but if you have the means to test drive both, it would probably be beneficial for you.
