The Big Kahuna: The FCA 50th Anniversary Drive, Car Show, andParty

Guys and Girls, in celebration of 50th anniversary of the Ferrari Club of America, the Rocky Mountain Region and Ferrari of Denver are hosting a special drive, car show, and party (not in that order) on Labor Day weekend as we raise money for the Ronald McDonald House. We are expecting a huge turnout from all the members of the FCA and would love to have many of the local Ferrari owners join us in celebration.

Here's the rundown on how the whole thing will go:

The Drive and The Party!

On August 31st, we will have a Ferrari caravan leaving from Vail at 2:15p where we will drive with the 599 GTB HGTE down to Ferrari of Denver. This particular 599 is making its way to every chapter of the FCA and will visit every Ferrari dealership in North America during its 18,000 mile journey. We will escort the car as it comes from SLC on its way to Denver. Registered drivers will each drive their respective designated legs as we take the car to Ferrari of Denver for a wonderful reception starting at 6p at the dealership.

At the reception, FCA members will be given a sweet poster, shown below, to commemorate the event (so if you're not a member, sign up today because these posters are SWEEEEET!) and sign a Schedoni leather scroll that is making it's way across the country with the car.

The Drive Part 2 and The Car Show!

On Saturday, September 1, at 9am we will drive in caravan once more, along with the 599 GTB HTGE, from Ferrari of Denver to two Ronald McDonald Houses in the Denver metro area and then to the Landmark in Greenwood Village. At 1p, we will be hosting a car show with the Alfa Romeo Club at the Landmark. It should be a great time to be had by all featuring some spectacular Italian machinery.

Even though this is an FCA event, it would be wonderful to have all of the local Ferrari owners and fans take part in this in some way. It is going to be a fantastic weekend in celebration of a great occasion while benefitting a super cause. I hope that you all will join us for a weekend that no one will forget.

If its a GT40 and not a Ford GT then, for one, really want to see it.

 

I will be bummed out if you don't bring that thing to something. That looks AWESOME.

 

It looks like there is one very important thing that I need to mention.

The reception at Ferrari of Denver is for PAST AND PRESENT MEMBERS OF THE FCA ONLY. It's not an open event.

Because FoD is hosting this for the FCA, those are the rules stipulated by the powers that be.

That said, it would be great to have as many people as possible for the other things!

 

I can't see why not but the better place to take pics would be the car show on Saturday, I would think.
