This RS 4.0 tested at the Porsche Experience Center Los Angeles is an interesting example, owned by Porsche Ag, it's one of the (6?) prototypes sporting 000/600 ID plates, at the time of the LA test it was showing 37,891 on the clock, I'm not sure wether that's miles or kilometers although the car does have USA-spec amber side-markers. Another great 4.0 RS owned by our client who is a prolific Porsche RS collector (as one might be described if you own every single variant of RS Porsche built from 1973 to 2012 and beyond) is the 4.0 RS which Porsche Ag promised him would be "Nummer Eins, Der Este", which translates to be 001/600. The very first 4.0 RS was special-ordered in PTS Gelbgrün (Yellow Green 137), inspired by a 1974 3.0 RS, as shown below. Ironically, we sold our client the ex-Bernie Ecclestone 3.0 RS which is Grand Prix White, an RS that could only be purchased with a 959 package. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Does your client keep his older RS cars in Taiwan? Taiwan also has another PTS 4.0 that I'm a fan of in a metallic dark blue that is X88/600 IIRC.
His older RS cars are in multiple locations including the USA, meanwhile do you have images of 088/600?
That makes sense. Unfortunately I do not, nor can I remember where I happened upon them. It would be likely that it was on Instagram, perhaps on https://www.instagram.com/fredcars0816/ account. I believe this is the car I was thinking of: https://exclusivecarregistry.com/porsche/997gt3rs40/1210420190502101208
Yes, Night Blue Metallic with silver-gold accents & wheels, I believe the owner is a friend of our client.
Architect Steven Harris' USA-based Porsche collection includes not only his own special-order PTS Chartreuse 4.0 RS, but some other interesting stablemates such as a 996 GT3 RS, 964 3.8 RS, Carrera 3.0 RS, 993 GT2 and more besides. Love it. The 997 GT2 RS can be had right now for similar money to a nice 991 GT2 RS - the difference is, the 997 version had 500 units produced and the 991 version had around 3,700 units produced!
GT2 RS #429, the car which Jeff Zwart used in 2011 to break the Pikes Peak record for the fastest street-legal production car up the hill. Image Unavailable, Please Login
