Has anyone had any experience with Texa diagnostic system for Ferrari?? How does this compare to Leonardo? I've searched and I found nothing recent.
We are trying out the latest unit from texa at the momment. When I first used it, it was an awful thing. However, things have changed. It seems to be working quite well. I'll play with it more on a couple different cars, and compare numbers against the Leo.
Update on the texa..tried ro do an acutaor bleed on a 430. It doesn't come up as an option in the menu. Release bearing is there, which worked, also tried to find e-diff bleed, could not find that either. So I switched scan tools to the Autel..worked perfectly. I did not try the self learn with the texa, but it is function in the menu. The Autel is really really good after the new updates were installed. I hardly use the Leo anymore. Although I cant dump it because it can get into the earlier ISO cars, which neither Autel or Texa can do.
Tom, any improvement on other exotic coverage with it? Love my 908, thinking about upgrading Thanks, Brian
My Texa IDC5 shows the actuator bleed for 430, whatever it is with a CFC301 or a CFC231, and it works : (sorry it is in french but "Purge actionneurs enclenchement/sélection " is the actuator bleed) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login I have not checked the e-diff bleed, but I doubt it is not there.
Autel works very well with Maserati. Lambo is ok, but missing a few things because it does not have a GFA cable. The Texa has the GFA adapter as an optional cable to buy. Texa can also get into Gallardo TPMS, which neither the leo or autel can do. My 60k leo is collecting dust as of late..hate to say it. It's a good tool, but its deficiencies are becoming apparent.
I’ve had a Texa for a few years and initially had difficulty navigating it and it was slow to respond. After downloading all the latest updates I was hired to scan several cars in a private collection and it worked flawlessly and produced nice reports. I’m still trying to master the screenshot option but I’m generally impressed.
I haven't looked at my texa in over a year. It sits on the bench doing nothing. Maybe I should update it and try it out again. I find the user interface horrible and frustrating to use.
I was in the same state of mind until I did all the updates, it took 4.5 hours, but it was worthwhile. I also purchased the cables to access early Bosch ECUs. I'm anxious to try them out and curious to know if there are others. When I Google Texa cables it's incredible what pops up.
I’ve recently done some reading on the Texa Uniprobe. Appears to be a useful tool but my sales rep tells me it’s not offered in North America. Can any of the European Techs here offer an opinion on it? Lists for about £2400.
Ok..I updated the texa. I needed it to code the dash from e-gear to manual transmission for a manual swap I'm doing on a Lambo superleggra. It worked! So I started to play around with it..with the new update it actually works quite well on the Lambo's..better than the Leo actually.
