I think mark and newman are right: it is a clock and a lap timer or stopwatch that is normal when disconnecting the battery
It's annoying to remember how/which A-B-C buttons to push to get it to do what you want -- see your TR OM.
At the dealer it confused everyone. For some reason I always remembered it so sales and service both, anytime a clock needed to be set I was called. I can still do it in my sleep. But doing it to the microwave? Still requires experimentation.
