I think it was a temporary problem related to Rob doing some "server farm upgrade" to the site:

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=311256

I noted the same trouble when Rob posted, but all is OK for me now.

    Dear Ferraristi,

    ...the cleaning never stops...

YAY! nuts and washers arrive from Fastnall. I'll post the part numbers soon.

Before I start putting the intakes back. It was suggested I put some oil in the cylinders since I had cleaned the valves with some intense cleaner and it may have made it's way into the combustion chamber.

As recommend on this thread, I used one teaspoon of Marvel Mystery Oil per valve. I poured it down, pulled the plugs and with the FUEL RELAYS REMOVED, I cranked the engine over a few times just to make sure the oil was distributed evenly.....can't wait for the smokey start up...hahaha... :D

To prep the area for the intake gaskets, I made sure all the oil was wiped up and used a Qtip around the studs to remove any errant anti-seize. 3M wax and tar remover does a great job here.

    Dear Ferraristi,

    OK...moving along...

    Nice new nuts and washers.

I use the copper anti-seize on all the studs. It has a higher temp rating and it's much better than the grey stuff...more expensive though.

Before I put the intakes back, I cover the tops with masking tape as this is your new entry to combustion chamber for that dropped nut.....yeah, don't think it won't happen.

    Dear Ferraristi,

In order to put the coolant sensor casting back in the proper place, you can't go by the length of the hose from the thermostat housing.

The sensor casting has holes cast in place to let it bolt down to the fuel distribution system. My fuel distribution system wasn't ready to go back but I put the outer shell in place and used it to align where the coolant sensor housing would go. I then tightened up the clamps on the coolant hose and moved foward connecting back some electrical plugs. It's nice to see the stray wires go back in place.

I can't move forward on the coolant elbow castings and Dave Helms's fancy-smancy hoses as I'm waiting for the yellow nylocks from my local Fpimp to come in.

I was able to buy new fuel meter box gaskets from my Fpimp and I'm waiting on those before I can reassemble at least one side of the fuel system.

...I may have a lead on a excellent condition fuel meter box to replace the one that sticks....

I'll move forward on a few hoses that I can put back. OEM braided cloth hose! :D

OK..OK...I know what you're thinking.... how come the clamp screw heads aren't aligned in the same position?? I really really tried, but the clamps were tight at those positions and anymore would over tighten the clamp..... Misaligned screw heads.....just not me ! :D

Really. But first, the good things.

The motor is just great, with spotless aluminum. Awesome new hoses, clamps, gaskets. A non sticky plate, and excellent connectivity on your electrical junctions. Gonna be great to FINALLY fire her back up again. Speaking of which....

Cara is my favorite thus far.

Now, back to the original point --

HEY BLOKE, WHAT'S with the ROCKER COVERS!?!

    It's just not you.

Yeah, what Alan said..........."it's just not you!!"

Hmmm............Natasha, very exotic.....Cara looks like a good sort but needs work on the spare tyre. Not your generally skinny blond mate.

Are we allowed to be critical of your car and your women?

Damn good thing you have broad shoulders.

    Dear Ferraristi,

    Bawhahahahah....you guys! :D

Yes, I know...the cam covers..... I'll get to them....I promise!

Yes, it does look like Cara has a large spare tire...but it's not that big in real life....I guess her beautiful face made me blind... haha... :D

I guess, this is why I keep coming back with Cayleigh. She's soo thin and tight. I just hate what she did with her hair and well...she "promises" it will be blonde soon.

    Critical??

....naw...no haters on the Testarossa forum... :)

yes....again....I'll get to those cam covers.... :D

Well, off soon for the night. I'm going to a "black out" techno party...should be cool. Cayleigh said she's wearing her new 6" heels...yes...6"!

    Dear Ferraristi,

    WARNING! John,

...this WILL make you tired... :D

    Cayleigh (19)

Well, I've basically come to a halt until new parts arrive.

Since I'm stuck, I've got to change out the pull release cable for the rear hatch anyways. I was just going to replace the inner wire but as soon as I started taking things apart, I noticed it was quite torn. Soooo....pull the interior trim to replace the cable.

OH.....use the old cable and duct tape the new one to it and pull through the body work so the cable comes through easily....

....ask me how NOT to do this....1 1/2 hours later of trying to fish through the new line....

Did you replace the fuel injector O-rings?
I can get new spacers machined if need be.
