I'd voted for the 512TRs... Just the other side of stock, without going "too" aftermarket. However, if you really WANTED the aftermarket effect, then any of the HRE's would be my second choice.
In terms of price, 360 mod wheels would be the cheapest, as well high performance (weight/wheel and high build quality) http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15988&highlight=360+TR+wheels As for 512TR wheels, I suggest FerrariUK, they have them for very very competitive prices. (I believe it was around 3k or so? I have to look it up)
HRE 840R! Either that or the 447R. My resoning is that they both have spokes that fit the look of the TR's strakes well. IMO the others and even the Speedlines - although not bad wheels - aren't as good of a match to the car's lines.
I just voted 512M. Im usually a stickler for keeping things stock, but those 5-bolt TR wheels are my least favorite f-car wheels. I absolutely love Wolfgang's car too! Whatever you decide, that color is beautiful Jerry.
You might want to go to the Ronal web site (www.Ronal.com) and check out their 18" titanium wheel for th TR. I put a set on my 1988.5 TR and love them. pd
Thanks, but are you sure that is the right website? Do you have any pictures of them on your car? Thanks
is that the correct site? it has a cat litter shovel and a circumcision clamp for sale. I don't see any wheels.
Which ones did you get? OMG Horsefly - I didn't know those bears were real rims!!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I went with the 512 TR...I love TR's yet the weakest link is the wheels. I always found it interesting how, imho, both the 328 and the TR struggle to look good w/aftermarket wheels. I find aftermarket wheels on these 2 cars throws the car sort of out of balance...my 2 cents. Cheers, Todd
I bought an extra set of 288 GTOwheels for my TR when I owned it. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very nice! I always liked those 288/F40 style wheels. I would like to see a conversion spyder one day also.
Dang Wayne that is an awesome looking TR! Was the top any good on those conversions - functional, watertight, etc? Did they reinforce the frame?
When i got my 328 last year, it only had 5k original miles on it and it had the original German Goodyear tires. They had a lot of tread but they were hard. I had a few issues on wet pavement, kind of rattled me a bit, the car had very little traction, including on dry pavement when the tires were cold... So, tires are cheap, i just went a replaced them, i noticed a HUGE driving difference with new tires.... I Got the Goodyear F1 tires....

Hey you got it to work. Nice. That is the first 512M I have seen without the M rims. I love that car! Especially like the sport seats & the red carpet!
Steve - Beautiful. So Jerry, I still say the speedlines. They are on my list. What are you leaning toward? Or did you decide? Robb Williamson Centennial, Colorado
I haven't decided yet. I have a lead on some speedlines, so that is an option. I would like the 512M's, but don't think I could ever find a set - And if I could, they would probably be too much $$. The TR rims is also a good option. So, if the Speedlines option doesn't come through, I will probably be stock for a while.
