WIth factory luggage! I think it was a decent buy compared to some of the recent, higher purchases we have seen.

Service says 2017, about 0 miles ago.

Its nice to see a F512M that has been enjoyed. Most tend to be garage queens because of their rarity! This car does have a lot of little cosmetic issue that have to be corrected all doable for not a lot of money. I personally still like the looks of a 512tr better. The price premium would not be worth it to me.

I saw one on display a number of years ago, when changing planes at Heathrow. All I can say is that the purity of design of the original TR was definitely lost, but I do appreciate the performance upgrades into and past the 512TR.
(That should satisfy mom: "if you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all).

Hagerty sent me a marketing email today that happened to contain their TR buyer’s guide. An apropos excerpt:

“The Hagerty Valuation team has gained significant insight in to recent transaction prices for the Ferrari Testarossa...Since four months ago, Testarossas are up 42 percent for #2-condition (Excellent) cars and 76 percent for #1-condition (Concours) cars. No Ferrari saw a higher increase over that same time frame...”

I have to say that the Testarossa really is an hidden sweet-spot of Ferraris. A little coarse and rough-around-the-edges, but still a wonderful driving experience. Long distances and the back doesn't ache and the knees don't hurt. It is a driver's car and that is what people are coming to appreciate.

Test drove a F8 Tributo yesterday. Beautiful car, excellent at low speeds and in traffic. Great acceleration. Very tractable. If I could, buy one, yes, in a heartbeat. But at times, throughout the drive I could only think, if it had 4 more cylinders. It is the progression of how I would have seen the TR evolve - a great GT as well as a track car. Would I buy a F8 if feasible, yes. Would I sell my TR to do so, NFW.

    20-30% maybe but 76%?
I think the 355 GTS and Berlinetta have increased the same if not more imo

    Very interesting !!
It’s the same car except they put back the mirror where it was.
It’s pretty interesting it was for sale by Legend Autogroup for like 120k in 19, they go to bay in summer 19 no sale at 86.5 and now wants 196.
It’s a genuine single mirror that was converted to double mirror and now back to original.
The Hemmings ad is a lie since they say no paint etc...at a minimum they had to repaint and covered the holes ...
Right move though to bring back to spec!

As you can imagine the car is not cosmetically perfect. A cheaper car for more imperfections. But appears to be a great driver car potentially. Juan has the car at his shop if you want to go see it. Belts were done 15 years ago he said. The car has not been driven much but runs good.

The car is at my Ferrari mechanic’s shop in San Jose, Ca. He is an excellent mechanic and could give you better details on the car. I don’t know about the car fax. Call Juan at 1 (408) 892-5384 for further details. Let me know if you need anything else. Hope that helps.
It’s red and tan. Single lug wheels. Appears very original.
