That gold car was on the market forever a couple of years back
http://atcm.co/S2PVDP/2151f69e No idea why but this car has bounced around a bit over the past few years. The owner bought it classiche and did lots to it to improve its performance, then the select luxury shop in Georgia had it for sale with i believe a new clutc last year and now it sees To have been traded in Florida. No idea if this is due to the mods or people getting tired of it. Nice one though! Was previously here: https://www.selectluxury.com/1987-Ferrari-Testarossa--c-4295.htm Previous owner spent a fortune increasing performance Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah, who spends that much time and effort to mod it, then sell it right away? Seems like he needs to revert it back. Sell the kit on eBay. People don't sit around and dream about having the fastest Testarossa.
Moded cars fetch less. Cant see what the mods are. Also there are very few moded cars that actualy work properly esp ferraris because most modders dont know what theyre doing or have the experience with what works on these cars. In fact most techs dont know how to keep even a stock one runnign as it should, and most owners are not aware or prepared to spend what it takes to really sort an older car. Thats why for many of us, we buy a car and factro in the 20-30k to make it run right. Without knowing what mods were done to the above car, and who did them, and how unobtrusive they are, your'e just buying a can of worms.
Yes exactly, I love when people say you can get a major done for 5k. Yeah if you do it yourself. When you do the major you tell the mechanic fix everything that needs repair. It’s too expensive to rip the motor out again because you are trying to save money by not doing something like rebuild the water pump or replace hoses, etc.
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1991-ferrari-testarossa-16/ Crazy how this is already at 100k with 5 days to go... it has 18k miles. Good for the market, I just don’t understand the BAT audience why bid so much whilst Kevin got the morries car one owner and less miles for 100k flat and it was all over Autotrader ? But hey good stuff! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
some buyers will like to buy one and do major them self or some might want it already performed.if major was done a few months from selling sometimes seller may skip items too i would buy one thats been done maybe a year or 2 before
Long term but as shared over and over again over the past years it has been market Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm curious as to how many were painted in gold. The reason is that a story was relayed to me by a very reliable source, that a person flew to Maranello to tour the factory and also place an order for a Testarossa. He ended up having lunch with Enzo Ferrari and Mr. Ferrari asked him what colour he wanted. The purchaser said to Mr. Ferrari, you choose. Enzo Ferrari chose gold. So, if there is only one gold car and the car originated from Canada, that is the start of its provinance.
Not many! There was one gold/greenish on BAT last year which did amazingly well! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Talk about keeping stories straight. If one were to go back 6 months on this thread and start reading they would be so mixed up they would just buy a Zr1 instead. This thread has gone so far into space it may never return. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Ryan when I was buying a black LP670 at Roy’s a couple of years ago I looked your silver car to be over very well. I think Roy just got it in and was asking 350k for it. I feel pretty certain you did not drop that sort of coin on it. It was the best of the best though Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I doubt he will say but if it starts at 350, what is a steal to you. You ever know anyone to steal anything from Roy Cats especially after his son took the lead? Just curious. I bought the SV and 599 from Roy back to back and while fair it was far from a steal. You think he dropped it 200k to 150k? I guess only one person knows. I don’t care but it wasn’t a private sale. I may end up selling my perfect 12k mile 90 but I dont want to be sued by certain members so I will be careful who I sell it to. No excuse car but this isnt 1990. I have viewed a lot of disappointment on the diff breakage thread. Times have changed a lot in the past few years. New owners have taken over the posts and they just keep rattling the same mess. This is supposed to fun. New ownership should be fun. Just because you just bought a Ferrari doesn’t make you are an expert. Let new owners get the thrill out of a Ferrari Testarossa. So sick of armchair first owners taking the threads over. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I hope new potential owners ignore the crap that has been fed to them. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
