Yeah, everyone knows you don’t buy one of these cars because they are fast. Having a fast car or fast new car is not the whole driving or car experience. Most of us that have one of these cars have other cars in their stable. So if I need a fast new car I can switch to a different car. But it doesn’t even come close to the tr experience. This guy doesn’t speak for me or my other friends that I know that own these cars. His assessment of their value is also not accurate. He can believe what he wants. Someone that doesn’t have money in the game as a current tr owner speaks volumes to me.

Very well said! My FF would kill my old testarossa on pretty much every metrics but had way more fun in the testarossa.
Such a stunning car. IMO 10-15 years from now they will be worth more than today for sure!

Needs a full service +++++. Could need hoses, suspension and who knows what else. Plan on $20k+ in my opinion. But still a strong buy and worth it..

I'll bet "this guy" has more wheel time in a testarossa or any other exotic car within a months time then you have up until this point in your life..

I also deal with the younger generation who think the classics are cool..but have zero desire to own one. Why pay 200k when my audi s4 with a tune will out do it in every imaginable category for less then a 1/4 of the price? That is what we as enthusiasts are dealing with. They never argue that the car is very cool. But they also say they would not own it.

So let me get this straight, because of your experience with some of the younger generation that you are exposed to have learned that none of them like the older Ferrari’s. You in fact can now speak for most if not all of them. Sounds good. Strong argument I must say, I now see where you are coming from. When the 512trs drop below 100k, I’ll just start buying as many as I can. But I won’t hold my breath for that to happen. Lol. By the way I thought all of the cars were dropping in value due to COVID. O’well I can’t keep all of these stories straight. That’s all they are is stories. Enough said, I won’t waste any more of my time with this. I guess between the COVID argument and the young gen argument these cars should be going to zero very rapidly. Two strong forces bringing the prices down. Lol

This was a very nice car. Nice to see it do the money it deserved. Congrats to the seller and the buyer. The Testarossa as most of us here know is a very special car.

Collectors will pay a premium for a nice unusual color. This is usually even more the case with low miles and documentation.

Of course u do. U always do
I can find u 10+ great cars that sold over the Past year for 100k. Are u saying this one owner 100k car gary just bought isn’t good? Some people make educated buy that’s it. 100k is still a lot of money for a lot of people and for some others it’s nothing. I’m the future shall it go up? Yeah absolutely.

The color and condition/service history/provenance makes a big difference is the point of the story here I believe. Everyone is correct :)

Yes, and people buy what they are looking for. That’s also why you may see higher prices on certain cars. Even if the car doesn’t have a rare color. Although, that almost assures that you will get more. Maybe the car checks all the boxes and if they have to pay a little more they will. There’s a lot of variables when looking and buying any older car. Probably even more with an older Ferrari because most people will be more particular about what they want. Condition, mileage, and documentation/service history is paramount.
