A little shop up the street has a black/black '86 single high mirror "in for service, then sell""....I did not ask....

Then we have SuperCarGuru with his nice low miles 512M, for $450K.
    There's your bookends....

It was up ten feet in the air, with the motor on a stand below...…..so I noticed some minor door dings but that's a bad light angle!!
For myself if it was not a much later variant a "High Mirror" car has a lot of style....

He said he had two TRs he cared for, the other one "wrapped green"??
Which did not ring ANY bells with our crowd??

The gold Testarossa looks great. Never seen it before. I noticed the car while browsing B&T. Yes, it is definitely worth the $20K for the exclusive paint. The excess fits the Testarossa’s personality.

Hi gang, I am new to the forum and a new 512TR owner. Here is my car.

I just finished a full recommissioning (sat for 10 yrs) with full engine-out service at Black Horse garage in CT. They did an excellent job too (would recommend them!).

On the topic of values... they are simply what someone is willing to pay. Merlin paid $229K for his 512TR at Amelia Island (3/6/2020) after COVID19 began. I paid less in Feb 2020. They are fun and [mostly] money in the bank. I think that hobbyists are buying them to enjoy, but buying as a speculator... you'd have to wait a while to turn your money into profit.

If your like me, I just want my money back (mostly) at some point after about 5 years of enjoyment. There's always another something to find/buy as we enjoy the years of our lives. We are just caretakers for a while.

Be sure to enjoy the ride!
    Shawn

Big Tex, I’ve communicated with him on Instagram because we have identical Testarossas and almost identical slantnoses. So I immediately knew which car you were talking about.

Well I don’t care about the 360’s but the last 2 TR’a on bat have sold for more than pre-covid crisis by 15% (at least comptes to other BATs TR). Time will tell if it’s a new trend or anomaly

Good news for the camp that believes the TR is a collectible, as this trend is certainly true in the later Lamborghini Diablos ('99-'01) and '05-'06 Ford GTs.

I've noticed a pretty sizeable uptick in prices with all sorts of different cars on BAT. It looks like people are out of quarantine and in the mood for buying luxury items.

Agreed! I will never understand though why buy a TR on BAT whilst there are so many for sale , cheaper and that you could inspect too. Good business model from BAT I guess!

    Like a multiple visual PPI?
If you are aware about something about a car are you able to comment on that?
Like “I am familiar with the car it belonged to X and he used to track it” or so?
I still believe that taking a car to an actual shop to be inspected is the safest way to go, are you allowed to take the car to a shop while the auction is in progress?

I know this is a bit dated but, look which ones are #1 and 2 and follow most comments on Fchat....Peoples choice award. My question is where’s the 355 GTS and 280 GTO?

lots of eyes, sure, but often mostly ignorant people commenting. As a TR owner, I'm not gonna lie... if I see a TR on BaT that has some issues, my mouth is shut. Let the uniformed drive the prices higher.

I find the comments annoying on BaT, eBay Motors also has them but not many people use them.

If shill bids were not enough with regular auctions, now you get the help of shill comments to bid up excitement. You would never think about buying a house site unseen but $120k for a 30 year old car with no inspection now is normal.
