Hi all, Just started the hunt for a Testarossa and I have a question regarding the badging : When new, did the cars have the Ferrari horse on the front or was it only on the back. A lot of cars have the front badge but I’ve been told that this was done aftermarket. Wondered if anyone here knows for sure. Also, I have seen a couple of cars with the horse in black on the back. Wondering if this was an option at the time. Thanks
Only in the back and in black. 512 tr had it silver. Nothing in the front, no shields as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Mine had a silver in front, aftermarket, and removed it. Like it better with no horse on the front grill.
It isn't, but many of us prefer it The stock rear black one came in two different styles -- early was a black flat style 61766400 and later was a black sculpted style 62984300. If you search using those part numbers, you should get prior threads, and you can access the TR Spare Parts Catalogue (SPC) here: www.ferrariparts.co.uk and they often have pictures of the parts. Here are the two stock black ones: https://www.ferrariparts.co.uk/part/search?SearchText=61766400 but that silver one shown is a little different than the usual silver one which is more like 62984300 just in chrome (not black).
