I bought 9 metres but that is way too much, but as one (like I) may need to do many practice runs, at £2:65 per metre what the heck :)

I found that the only glue that worked effectively for me was LIQUID superglue (cyanocrylate???).
The thicker more goopy stuff just did not work AT ALL, don't know why though.

    HTH

PM me if you need any help.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I found a fog light switch for my TR at AW for fraction of the cost. Call Dave at 800 631-5589. I only paid $105.80 including shipping. It was brand new in a Ferrari box. Part number 121607. AW is located in New Jersey.

    0 332 209 151 Relay

Bosch relays - yes, I know, difficult to find inexpensively.
Guess where I found them today?

    http://www.perfectengine.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=PIP-0332209151&CartID=1

They shipped today, $11 each. Could not have been nicer.

I called the guy and he personally made sure my order processed, and because they are in downtown Los Angeles, they will arrive tomorrow via UPS and shipping was $12 for a total of four relays.

I told him I would post this, please tell him you called him after seeing a thread on ferrarichat.com (you don't need to reference my name, just want him to know we're calling and to take care of us when we do!)

Autozone no longer stocks it, but can special order it for $150.
ACDelco discontinued the E508C, however, you can get the replacement by Standard Motor Products from partsgeek.com for $107 with free shipping (in stock) for a 1994 Jaguar XJS 6 liter v12. (note - it says it is a cross reference for a Lucas product, as well. Yeah, that inspires confidence...)

If you are local, you can pick up a UC-136 (cross reference replacement for the E508C) in Northridge, CA http://www.oehq.com/oeparts_UF136_STI.htm

Perfect Engine in LA (323) 231-5161 and ask for Raphael.
Or, you can search by the Bosch part number i.e. 0 332 209 151, etc.
I bought a new ignition coil for $44 today for my TR. from them.

I ran across this yesterday, but I'm not sure if it's been already covered in this thread.

The Testarossa fuel cap, the black one with Ferrari part # 113401, is absolutely identical to the FIAT part # 4305673 that can be found on Fiat 124, as well as Lancia Beta.

In terms of price, we're talking about a 1-to-20 ratio new, but the FIAT caps can probably be found anyway all over europe in salvage yards for peanuts.

I wanted to make sure we captured it here.

part is AIRDUCT CANVAS-80mm, wire reinforced

you need 4 ft for both sides, cost was $20 per ft

About the cheapest I have found for the 92-94 TRs:

From IPW Parts Internet Department, 800-288-8008 or www.ipwparts.com

    Bosch fuel pump (0580 254 011 now turns into a 69535) $129.00
    Bosch fuel injectors (0280 150 419) $108
Bosch fuel pressure regulator (0280 160 525) is obsolete/out of stock but i found an aftermarket replacement (SIPR301) for $95 on Amazon.com of all places.

I noticed the 1-6 bank was not running as "normal" ... not really smooth.

Checked all sparkplugleads ... seems all well. All sparked but at nr 1 noticed some difference in sparks ...

Looked at the 512TR coil ... and found a nice crack ...!

Replaced it with a new coil and: all fine again !

    ;)

It's even BETTER now: Absolutely NO more red "BRAKE" lamp or 1-6 Engine Check warnings anymore :)

(In the last 2 years we have been searching over 40 hrs to those failures and never found it ... and now: all gone !!)

I discovered something interesting over the last few days, I don't know whether it is known thing or not.

The Testarossa column switch (where you find blinker, lights, and wipers commands) turns out to be identical to the Lancia Delta column switch.

The Lancia Delta was made from 1979 to 1994, with a facelift in 1986. From what I found in Lancia forums, all switches are 100% identical, only the length of the cables has changed in 1986. I'm not sure whether the connectors are identical as well, but I bet they are and even if they aren't it will be really easy to solder new ones.

So here you go, the official Ferrari TR switch goes for $2100, the Lancia one for $150. Here is a picture of the Lancia Delta switch. The Lancia part# for post-1986 is 176314180, I couldn't find the pre-1986 #.
