Testarossa blower motor only works on high

    the blower motor on my testarossa works fine, but as soon as you rotate the knob backwards to slow the speed down it shuts off completly. anybody have this problem before. also does anybody know where i can get a wiring diagram for a 1990 testarossa?

    I'm not sure how the TR blower motor is wired, but in a "normal" car, that symptom is characteristic of a fried blower motor resistor. If I'm wrong, someone else please chime in. As far as wiring diagrams go, I'm not sure what you're looking to spend, but you can get the factory service and parts manual here on CD-ROM for $200.

    Change the Bosch fuse-the silver colored square thing in the fuse box. Look at the diagram in the fuse box to see which one it is. Diagnose it by swapping with another one that is working, or just buy a new one. They should be changed every few years. Buy a box of them. Should fix the problem for about $12. ;) Jim

    Steve (91tr) is correct based on my experience. Replace the power transistor (p/n 127014) and your problem should be solved. I think the resistor retails for about $125.
