Good day Folks, I just bought 18"X8" and 18"X10" wheels for my Testarossa 1984. Any one can know what is the best selections of tires sizes that can fit on these wheels? Thanks
How about 235 or 245 for the fronts and 265 or 275 for the rears. They are always a popular choice. You should have no trouble fitting them tyres and should have no issues with them rubbing on the gaurds. As long as the wheel offset is correct.
Good day PAP 348, I agree with you.I think i will go with 245/40/18 and rear will be 275/35/18 what you think? Regards
That sounds good to me. The Trossa has heavy steering(apparently), so it may be a little harder at standstill to turn the wider tyres than it would be with the normal tyres on it. But the look of big rubber will be worth it. Post pics when they are on. Cheers.
I think you can go to even 295 for the rear with 18" wheels w/ 12" wide... Don't do less. Mine has original 288 GTO wheels, 10" wide in the rear. They can only take up to 275 and that's never enough grib...
I think he has already bought 18"x10"'s for the rear man. So its too late to get 18"x12"'s and 295's.........unless he can take the wheels back?
Good day guys, I am sorry for late reply but this is because of time zone differance. I agree with all of you guys. I already bought the wheels and no way to go back. Yes the 295/35/18 is the ones comes with TR512.But the wheels width is 10.5" in the rear so you can go with tires up to 295... but mines are only 10" wide so maximum i can go to 275... Anyway, thank you for your help guys. Bold Eagle
Are the new wheels knock off type like the originals? Or is there a hub replacement to fit a 5 wheel bolt pattern to the early TR's? BT
Good day PT, Yes the new wheels are still the knock off wheels. It is a British racing company that manifacture racing wheels and they did them in a way that i will install on them the original wheels knock off adaptors and fit them on the new ones. The whole idea to switch to 18" wheels is bercause of finding the orginal tires and they are not any more in market and if you find them they are expired?! Regards.
Holy thread resurrection : OP hasn't been here since post 9 ! There can't be many manufacturers left in the UK - in fact the first on Google shows these half way down the page http://www.imagewheels.co.uk/pages/photos_billet.html # 47
