Hi, This is one of two Mercedes Benz 500/540 K Autobahn Kouriers in the world. This car was also on loan from our National Auto Museum. The first two pictures are of the car before it was put under proective covering. The third shows it once a protective cover was built for it. Salam Salar, I remeber in one of your posts you mentioned that you visited the museum. Do you remember this car, the joint VW / Porsche / Mercedes car presented by the German government as a gift to the Crown Prince ? Chakerim, Ramin Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Hi, As you can see, we used 21st century logistics management to handle all the keys ! Regards, Ramin Image Unavailable, Please Login
Salam, According to the museum, the car had two keys, one silver and one gold. The silver one would allow the car to go to 30 kph and the gold one 160kph. I guess the German government didnt want the Crown Prince (who was 12 when he got the car) to go head first into a tree or some other static object at 160 kph. Obviously that would put a damper on Iranian-German relations ! Eradatmand Ramin PS. Here is a shot of the Ghibli. Notice the car is so new that it still has the sticker on the tire. Fantastic, thank you again Ramin. I know for a fact there are people registering on Ferrarichat only to read this thread
Dear Pav, Thanks for the heads up and kind words. Just got back from the Tehran - Gilmaz Classic Car Rally (third anniversary of Tehran Cafe Racers). We had everything from a Khamsin to a 356 A. We also had Claus Mueller of Classic Mobil and Iron Age Garage (and Munich Cafe Racers) fame along for the ride. Pictures will follow soon. Warmest Regards, Ramin
