Not sure about this, but it has potential. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/devices/surface-duo
Expensive! https://www.news.com.au/technology/gadgets/mobile-phones/samsungs-galaxy-fold-finally-gets-a-local-release-date-and-a-3000-price-tag/news-story/5253e429ff6e917da512a9e4251fa88c
This is awesome. I don't know how practical it is, but considering the noise and vibration experienced in the planes they're considering this for, and the running costs, this could be a game changer. https://cleantechnica.com/2019/10/24/750-horsepower-electric-aviation-engine-tested-by-magnix/
Un until an alternative is found for fuelling aircrafts, we r just tinkering around the edges of improving environmental impacts
cleantechnica is nothing more than green propaganda. Not even the smallest attempt at balance. "Our magni500 motor weighs significantly less than the gas-powered equivalent while providing the same levels of power." Really? What about the weight of the batteries? The time spent recharging between flights?
I'd like to know how it compares to full fuel tanks.... And a quick charge might take an hour or two I suppose.
Help , please! Is there a techie here who can give me a hint on getting the latest version of Virgin (as in planes ) entertainment updated on my ipad mini (running 12.4.3)? First problem is I can’t delete the old version? I’ve googled online solutions and getting nowhere?
Sorry Karen, I don't do Apple crap but I just upgraded a macbookpro this morning using the app store upgrade option, have you tried that ?
That’s funny because the Virgin website specifically says the system can’t be run on Macbooks! ipad was brought up to date by local gurus a month or so ago, and I did updates today but nada... It’s so frustrating thatApple stuff is so robust (can’t kill this damned thing) but even basic controls are coopted from the user... So many crap apps that can’t be removed and now I can’t update something I want!
Just go to the app store and if there's a new version it should be there under updates. If not you can still search for the app, download it and it should automatically over-write the old one. Oh, and why is it running 12.4.3? Shouldn't it be on 13.1.3 by now?
Ed Zachary. Although sounds like it might be an old iPad. Another way is to "tap and hold" the current App until you are able to delete it and start again through the App Store. But the best way is to do what Steve says.
That's what I said capt I did it this morning, will probably get in the poo tonight Also I think it incredible that a pissy PC OS is something like 1-2GB when in the old days major companies could run their businesses on an operating system of less than 15MB .... software optimisation at it's best
No idea... techs updated it a month ago but yes, it is about 4 years old so maybe can’t handle the latest ‘upgrades’ but they didn’t say anything about that?
The tap and wiggle isn’t working - wiggles but no ‘x’ to delete. Anyway, forget about it I just read the magazine on the flight!
