Looking to trade up to a 458 coupe and came across a TDF blue with the right options. I have never been a blue fan but found this to be a good looking car. My question is If I ever move on how desirable is this color compared to others and would it be difficult to trade or sell

TDF blue is not as popular as rosso corsa but I personally think its a desirable color and would not be difficult to sell.

I chose TDF for my speciale. I guess there will always be a smaller percentage of buyers looking for a blue car but an even smaller percentage of blue cars available, I shouldn't think selling it would be a problem. I would imagine if someone is negotiating purchasing a blue car from you, you would have the upperhand in the negotiations. TDF looks classy and elegant and flys under the radar. I can park my speciale in a car park and people don't bat an eye lid - just the way I like it. Having said that I do have the NART stripe on my car in white which does really make the blue pop.

I own a TDF F430 Spider and a TDF 458 Spider. As I mentioned awhile back in another thread, it seems that whenever a TDF Ferrari comes up for sale, it sells rather quickly. My 458 is presently at Algar for its yearly service, and just yesterday, the Service Manager told me over the phone: "I always get compliments on it when it's here." As the last poster said, it's under the radar, as I too like it. Also, it gives the car kind of a split personality--sporty, for sure, but also elegant. Blue may not be the new Rosso Corsa, but then, it's nice to have something a bit different. Fred

TDF is a nice color but my dealer wholesales blue cars. Red sells the best. They don't call it resale red for nothing.

If potential resale is your priority, by all means don't buy a TDF Ferrari. Buy Rosso Corsa with a beige interior. If you're buying a Ferrari for your own enjoyment, buy a TDF car if you like the color. My belief, particularly where Ferrrais are concerned, is that there's more to life than resale value. I buy what I like, without regard to resale. You must do what best fits your game plan. That's the long and short of it, I would say. Fred

Ben , get the one you like and call it a day. None of these cars make any sense. I bought black because it's different. Get the blue one man , I'll see you on the road. Good luck bro !

Although you have already decided, TDF blue is by far the most popular of the blues. Much more than Blu Swaters or Abu Dhabi. That is an amazing paint choice though, it is my favorite of all the Ferrari colors!

You will love the color. Have you seen it in person? Its even better!

As to selling all the advice is right. The market for blue Ferraris is smaller than for red- but- it also means when you do put it on the market the fewer people looking will have less choices. And this color is not some wild one off color. TDF is a pretty popular color for a Ferrari and it sure does look good on the 458. What are you trading up from? You will love the 458. What a car!

Red and Black easiest to move...anything else (MUCH) harder.

Well you did post a color thread. Hilarious.
