I used to refer people to Bob Ensor, only because he was the only indy I knew up that way, but just had someone ask and I think last time I called Autocraft the number just rang and rang so I figured I'd check and see if anyone has other recommendations for a local or localish independant Ferrari guy...

    TIA

There's a new guy in Clearwater who's doing a bunch of work on my 355 right now. Frank Maderi: 727-532-9084. Ex-Ferrari mechanic retired to FL and opened up a shop. Really good guy and has been fantastic so far.

You could also try Grand Turismo in Sarasota 1-941-756-4874. Great guys, father and son team. Mr Luciano worked in the Ferrari Plant in the 60's an 70's. I believe he was one of the mechanics on their Formula 1 team back then.

i WOULD SUGGEST A PLACE IN DREW PARK (TAMPA) CALLED THE AUTO LEGEND f/k/a EUROPEAN GRAN TURISMO. THE CONTACT IS MASSIMO MONDINO (813) 873-9453. WORKED ON MY 1988 MONDIAL COUPE. VERY SATISFIED.

Mossimo changed the name of his shop and split with his partner. He is 100% in business as The Auto Legend. He has worked on my 308, 360 spider and 430. Very trustworthy and quality work!! His number is 813-873-9453

    Hey guys;

After coming to this thread I figured I should also chime in.
I have had two of my cars worked on and maintained by Frank Maderi.
    A 1989, 328 GTSi and my most recent, a 92 512TR.

At the time of each service Frank was based in Millbrook, NY.
Not to far from where I live.
This is just before he retired and went to Florida.
As a matter of fact, I always wanted to buy a Ferrari, but was reluctant because of the service issue, till I found out that Frank had worked for Ferrari, and knew all the quirks found on the 328.

Because I had a "REAL" Ferrari guy in the neighborhood, I took the plunge and am happy to say, never looked back.
Any problem I ever had with either of these cars, was diagnosed, and fixed in a very timely manner, with the care and respect due these cars.
This is a guy, who loves his work, and really loves Ferrari's.
All you have to do, is talk to him for a few minutes to realise his connection with the cars.
    Highly recommended~!

By the way I recently visited Frank during the holidays at his new shop in Florida, very nice set up.

All I can say is, My loss is your gain~!

    My 2 cents
    Thanks
    Paul
