    I am having a shop look at the tachometer, and they want to know which wires are which color.

    Does anyone have the breakdown for: Power, Signal and Ground?

    or

    Where I can find a wiring diagram on line?

    Which car do you have? Remember on the 328 the tachometer is actually a 4 cyl tach. There is a write up here on how to fix it yourself if it is reading the incorrect RPM. The problem is a rheostat that is inside the tach. Took me longer to get the tach out than to fix it.

    I saw the write up.
    The tach is at a shop that has a square wave generator, but they want to make sure they connect the correct wires.

    Do check this but if my memory is right

    Black = Negative
    Brown stripped black = Signal
    Green stripped white = Positive

    Check these before doing anything.
