I've seen this car at C&C's in NJ and it is beautiful. The previous owner was a true enthusiast who maintained it meticulously and drove it regularly to local events.

Also previously available on http://www.gullwingmotorcars.com! Who knows where it will turn up next! And, by "interesting history" I guess you mean the part about it being an ordinary steel-bodied street car, with no racing history ever? Or the part about its recent and public sales failure at the mother of all high-end car markets, Gooding and Co's Pebble Beach Auction?

I think the asking price was $11,500,000. It looks great from a distance but up close there are many areas that would need looking in to make it perfect. The clear coat had small cracks all over it.

I don't recall it being visible in person.

But frankly a paint job is immaterial.

It was definitely visible in person. Several people I was standing with commented on it while viewing. And, at what would be a super-record price for an otherwise unremarkable car, I think the paint job (and everything else about the car) can absolutely be material.
