I wonder if the Qantas situation re grounding of their fleet will be resolved soon. Could get ugly. Will the Federal Government step in?
You really have to wonder don't you. Airlines all over the world doing it tough. QANTAS trading on safety record, trading profitablyAnnual Meeting yesterday, CEO gets $2m pay increase, today CEO ups the ante and gets tough forcing the issue. The bit I struggled with was that Joyce says with some hint of irony that Virgin were the beneficiaries of their trouble and that Virgin pay less, have fewer Union issues and service their fleet offshore. That sounds like good management on Virgins part. I do think that those unions are forcing QANTAS to lose money and reputation, forcing their hand today. QANTAS a bit like banks, Telstra etc where they never seem to win the public debate, even when they are probably in the right.
Should be all right mate, got off the worst two flights yesterday, but both were on time and not grounded, thankfully.
I got no lunch yesterday from brisvagas to mt isa and it was a 2.5 hour flight and in the arvo, very upset.paid $1700 return ticket and no lunch.......oh and a crying baby for 2.5 hours sitting next to me!
QANTAS not flown with them for years, lol but i have over 950,000 flybuy points enough for 2 1st claas and return to the UK.
Yep cause i had to change over to another flight at Brisbane,it sort of shocked me when i seen the price.
