So I went crazy a few years ago and bought a mid-project '74 Mini 1000. After 3 years of work, I turned it into a supercharged, 1275 (bored to 1310) beast w/ a 5-speed box. My family is known primarily for being a Ferrari family - my father set the record for longest ownership of a Ferrari by an individual (as opposed to an estate) at 58 years. However, the dirty little secret is that he had an MGA two years before he bought his 500 Mondial. He also won some SCCA championships in the "world's fastest Mini Moke" in the 1970s. Here's a link to that ridiculous car: http://maximummini.blogspot.com/2016/08/how-hawaiian-ex-rental-became-worlds.html#comment-form

I've had my fun w/ the Mini and am selling it; I have a '70 E-Type on my lift and am out of room for other cars, so the Mini has to go.

Moving it on BaT - auction completes early Tuesday afternoon depending on where you are . . .
It is wicked fast and a blast to drive. Enjoy. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1974-mini-mk-iii-2/
