SUPERCARS ON STATE STREET

Harrisburg would be great for a street race. Up Forester St around the back side of the Capital on 7th then down Walnut to a left on 2nd down to a right on Paxton to another right on to Front St then a flat out shot along the river with that great dip under the railroad bridge in front of the hospital back down to Forester.

All the roads are at least 3 lanes wide with numerous elevation changes, twists and sweepers. Forester is 7 lanes wide and set up perfect for a pit lane.

Sounds like a great plan. Propose it to them with the incentive of increased revenue from the publicity and exposure to the city, they are hard up for money, it might just fly. As long as no cars go flying off the street into something. I vote for your event downtown Harrisburg.

Businesses are running from Harrisburg faster than an F1 car. That is what happens when someone unqualified for the job gets elected.

Sorry I never made it out. I tried, but you may have heard about the Greyhound bus accident on the PA Turnpike. I was in the first batch of cars routed off the turnpike at Reading, and it was such gridlock, that it would have taken a very long time to complete the trip, so I turned around and came home.

If I had been just a few minutes later, I would have been caught stopped in a 3-mile backed up parking lot for hours.

I hope the show went well, and look forward to seeing pics.

The event was great fun. The weather probably kept some people away. Got to meet a lot of new friends and hopefully the weather will be better next year and no bus crashes.
P.S. I saw my car on the 11:00 channel 21 news segment.

 

Any way for us out of town folks to see the news coverage video? I don't see anything on the CBS 21 page about it.
