The driver's side sun visor on my 360 keeps falling down while I'm driving and it's becoming a big annoyance. Has anyone else come across this problem? and what did you do to fix it? I'd rather not remove it like some of you have...
Yes same issue also on driver side. I partially solved it by adding a rubber washer to the stem so it won't fall out when positioned in closed position. Moving it to the side will eventually fall out, welcome others thoughts if they too have this "feature".
I squeezed the metal clamp that holds the rod on the swivel end near the pillar with a set of needle owe pliers. Also epoxied the "holder" dowel that clips toward the center of the car so that it did not spin freely in the visor and wrapped it with a little black electrical tape. Has worked for over 2 years.
I just drove one that had a little piece of metal bend into the shape of a squared off letter C. It appeared part was wedged in the headliner and the bottom lip is what the visor rested on.
DIY Fix and "Proper Way" are diametrically opposing concepts. DIY Fix (several posted already) OR Replace part
You might ask Dave if he can do a permanent fix like he does for passenger visors on Maranellos. New OEM parts will just break again. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/456-550-575/285072-sunvisor-fix.html
I tried going this way but it seems to not be possible as the internals are different. I also Macgyvered mine and it now stays up and you can't tell by looking at it.
I asked Daniel at Ricambi why he thought that some of the things on Ferraris are so shoddy and he replied tongue in cheek, 'they sell you the engine and transmission and give you the rest for free'. Alan
