It seems like a common observation that the steering wheel in the 355 is quite far away from the driver, and obviously does not move/extend. Has anyone used anything that allows to move the wheel closer to the driver, like a spacer or shim of some kind? Or any methods?

You currently have a Hill Engineering steering boss/adapter for your 348 wheel. HE might offer a spacer to extend. Or you can purchase a longer steering boss from M tecnologia in Japan.

Hill Engineering has a nice 50mm spacer. Worked perfectly with my F50 wheel.

The original question was for a 355 which would have had an airbag. I do not think a wheel spacer is possible to install on an airbag application.

I have a 348 pre airbag wheel on the car already. I'm interested in a spacer for that, not a 355 airbag wheel

I'm looking to have a spacer made for the airbag wheel as that's really the only thing I don't like about the car. I cannot get comfortable for performance driving with the wheel that far away. If I move the seat closer, my knees hit, if I move the seat back more upright my head hits. When I do drive it hard I end up leaning forward and tilting my head, which is less than ideal. Also have a nice spot in the headliner from my head rubbing.

All 348 steering wheels are non-airbag. Do you mean you have a pre-airbag F355 wheel?

Thank you. That’s already been done. Now looking for an extension that fits my current 348 wheel.
Do you sell that as well?

The steering wheel spacers are not designed to be 'stacked' on top of each other. You might be able to cobble something together with SWS01B but you'll need your own mounting hardware most likely.

I have the Momo boss with a 100mm spacer stacked. It looks a little neater than the above.

Thanks for the pic. That looks much larger than 20mm?

An old photo with the 50mm Hill spacer, now swapped out for 100mm B&G. The Hill spacer is for sale - if anyone wants to buy it, please message me.

Regarding Ken's image, I think you're mistaken the boss/adaptor for the spacer. You can see where the two butt up against each other.

Nice. You have the old Momo boss. I’ve been looking for those. They were never sold in the U.S.

Still sold here in the UK. Happy to facilitate getting one out to a fellow FChatter if you are after one?
