I am getting ready to remove my steering column stalk switch in a few weeks to send to Verell for repair. The wiper switch is broken completely off. The blinkers don't work. And the twist control for the parking lights is loose and won't lock into place. Does anyone have a link showing the removal of the entire stalk switch? I have looked under the 3X8 technical threads and there is one dealing with the column switches but doesn't detail the removal of the entire unit to include the wiring. By the way,,,the picture is not of my switch.

Are you able to send Verell the entire bundle? He's a very savvy dude.

Yes he is. Obviously I don't want to send the entire steering column,,,just the part in the picture. Problem is I need more information on how to remove it.

It's pretty simple...if you have a ring nut tool...or you can sacrifice a cheap socket to make one. You'll also need a puller. I did it a few years ago and it was pretty simple.

On the 328 the collapsible steering wheel hub has two 8mm threaded holes which are designed to screw a puller into.
On 308 I believe this has a solid hub so a plate can be screwed into the steering wheel mounting holes.

A simple puller can be made by drilling two holes into a metal plate to match these holes in the hub and a central hole for a bolt to push down onto the end of the column, after removing the ring nut.

The entire switch assembly is held by screws and can be removed after removing the hub.

And make a good drawing of the wire location because you have to remove each of them from the plastic connector. The connectors don't go through the column hole.

Yes, clearly. I thought that what you had was what was pictured.
