Was looking at purchasing a 360 modena from them.... I asked them to work up a lease option and a purchase option.

They worked up a lease option and here were the terms.

    $50k down...$1300 per month 36 month tems..and balloon of $30k

They did NOT want me to get a PPI done on any car. They said they inspect all of the cars. But when I asked for the report..was refused.

I told him I wanted to research it a bit and think it over for a day or so while I get with my CPA.

No kidding..he called me 5 times per day.

So I decided not to lease one and purchase instead locally so i would have to go through shipping, and I could not get a PPI done on their car.

I shot him an email so i didnt string him along and said, "Thanks for the options..but I will purchase one closer to me thats local".

Here is the response I got from the sales rep via email:

"You mean to tell me ,after all that you are just going to buy a car locally do me a favor do not call me on the next one, I do not need to waste my time and I really do believe you are buying a car I know you are going to send me pictures of your new Ferrari just to prove that you were for real do not even bother"

Unbelivable! Take heed if your thinking about purchasing.

Any business dealings with Don L Leasing are always suspect... and it seems every car has a story.

The lease figures, on the face of it, do not seem horrible ... but there are too many unknown variables (year, condition, mileage, options etc etc).

However, NO dealer should EVER refuse a PPI -- that's just insane, and no way to do business. If a dealer told me "no" to a PPI, I'd think "well, what don't they want me to find out ?" and steer them a wide berth...

And their email reply is extremely unprofessional, even if you were a time-waster...

Don is truly an awful human being for I had first hand experience. The truth is if today, he hands me a key to a car for free, I'd WALK......

If I had a reputable car sales business, it would not be based in Florida because of all the crooks there. Many assume the worst and usually for good reason.

what about euro or rpm motorsports? A guy named Gene, Dan, and Daniel(from Prestige) I believe I don't have any dealings with them but a Dr buddy of mine is considering some business with them. He said they offered a PPI and have been very accomadating....Thought I would throw this out there and see what I could find out for him.

Do a search in the archives, there was a recent thread about them. Apparently, there is a Euro Motorsports and Euro Motorcars (something like that). Very similar names, but VERY different animals. One good, one bad. I can't remember which was which.

It might have been in the FL section or in the Ferrari General section, I also hang out in the 308/328 section, so I could have seen it there.

You should find it with search.

My family has had a place on the west coast of Fla for 30 years. Since about 1998 I've been going down for Dec/Jan/Feb to shop for cars, look around and basically hang out...

Point is that since I first started going down there almost 8 years ago, D/L Leasing have been running adds in all the trades/car shoppers. Despite their negative reputaition, they must be (on some level) selling something or making major $ off people who don't know very much to still be around....

Not a positive reveiw, but an observatrin of the fact that they have been around for many years, either fooling enough "new" people or making enugh "$/sale" to last this long.

Euro Motorsports has a person named Daniel who is a nice guy and has a good reputation. Eurosport Exotic is run by a Philip Haupt and has a terrible reputation. There was a recent thread about a buyer from Daniel's shop that complained about 96 extra miles on the car and accused Daniel of being at fault. He posted (and cross posted) many threads about this. Daniel posted an almost hour by hour video still frame diary of the car from the moment the buyer was in the office until the car got on a shipping trailer headed to Chicago. It clearly exonerated Daniel in my mind, and the original poster never came back to accept that Daniel was not the one that drove the car.
