Thanks, but Ricambiamerica is in the US and want to do the work this weekend.
Are those part numbers listed US parts?
I have already tried VW uk with that part number and it is not coming up on their computer.

Anyone bought the stuff in the UK?

I also tried the UK VW and AUDI dealer route a couple of months back without success. I didn't even get a response from E mailing direct to the manufacturers!

After wasting many hours surfing I concluded at the time the only option would appear to be Ricambi USA.

I have not yet (touch wood) had any electrical contact problems (OK, I re-wired the door connectors..) but every time I have a plug disconnected I treat it with Electrolube CG53, available from RS/Farnell etc. Why this particular stuff? - a: It's specified for automotive use, and b: I already had some.

No luck at RS, anyone else have a source?

It is looking like the use of this miracle solution is not as widespread as this board indicates, especially in the UK.
