Is it the right time now to trade-in the FF before the launch of the new FF ? Or it does not matter if I trade it now or after the launch of the new FF ?

If you can part with it, yes, absolutely. I'm holding off until after winter as I have a lot of driving to do to the mountains and unfortunately lose some trade-in value by doing such.

IMO The new FF seems to be evolving into a much better looking car and raising the performance
levels significantly - So it should give the current FF a knock down in resale values

Don't know if a "Tesla" like interior is an improvment...?

Yeah hope it comes with optional leather bound blind/cover for that screen as they are blinding after a while.

Maybe with Daytona stripes or a stitched cavallino. 😱

In Sweden they use the Tesla as taxis. Ride is crap. And the driver spent a ton of time tapping on that huge silly screen. I asked him what he was doing, he replied nothing in particular. I respectfully countered I'd prefer it if he looked at the road ahead. I did say however that if he could order me a hamburger that's fine.

You're probably correct, but second hand values seem to be a law unto itself. My delightful 550 Maranello dropped to 25K trade at its lowest point. Now it's all the rage. The 612, which I've never owned looked to ungainly to me when it first came out. Now it's rightfully gaining traction in value terms and I stand corrected, to me it's now very elegant. In the short term the current FF might dip but if it follows form, it will regain its composure and will move up. I don't need an FF but of those I've seen up close, it's grown on me and is mighty impressive.

Can't argue with your assessment on that. At the moment the UK appears a micro climate for FFs with the cheapest 2011 at £149,950 which is 54% of new price after 4 years. (Based on typical new at 275k) Call me old fashioned but that is very strong residual in anyone's book. Even high milers are at that price point so when in Sept 2016 the first FFm's arrive at two or three a month for the UK with typical new cost at around 300k all in I can't see them falling off a cliff.
The 09 Cali price has hardened since the launch of the Cali t, the 458 has rallied now the 488 has proven to tickle a different spot even the 430 is now being sought out by dealers as the market rallies.
We benefit from a growing economy and toys are back on the agenda so I can't see the early FFs going down much more as they are too much car for the money. Plus it is not a fashion statement it is a utility vehicle so only those among us who desire the emperors latest clothes will be desperate to change, the rest of us will consider the benefits and make a judgement on practical merits. I may be wrong........sorry that may sound arrogant......I'm probably wrong.

Agreed- I hope they don't go too far with this. I really dislike touch screens for automotive. You can't operate it without taking your eyes off the road.

That's pretty funny right there. But I think you can order anything using voice commands on modern Ferraris with Bluetooth connection. Can't think of a better application for electrics than cabs, commuters and public transportation. Can't think of a worse application than exotics and collectables.

I would love the F12 to have another 200 KERS hp.
It always takes ages to hit 210+mph.

I think Ferrari could easily cut 0-200 by 10 seconds. This could add up to minutes each day.

Who knows. Only 207 registered FF's in the UK to date (According to howmanyleft.co.uk).

    2011 - 20
    2012 - 81
    2013 - 26
    2014 - 46
    2015 - 27

Numbers aren't going to completely accurately reflect the number in the UK - some cars are registered here then end up abroad in other RHD markets in Asia for example.

With probably <200 cars available for the whole country (plus the associated interest in Asia in importing RHD cars from the UK) it's pretty unlikely they will tumble significantly.

Just keep an eye on when I sell or trade mine - you can guarantee they will appreciate from that point forward...

I agree with you completely. For such a capable vehicle, the rear end is completely out of character. Ferrari isn't just about incredible capability. It's about the mystique and passion that hit you when you see them, from ALL angles.

I actually think the rear and rear 3/4 view are the best parts of the current car's design

FF from the rear quarter is great ... some people have iffy taste. All they want is a 2 seat mid life crisis car to feel young. Secret: women love the FF.
