Did Ferrari move the radiator overflow and the horns from the lower front to the upper sides of the engine bay in later cars? Mine has them both in the nose.

I think I recall seeing that listing in the FML - was there for quite awhile IIRC.

I owned 10445 in 2015-2016. The history in the current listing doesn't quite match what I had about the car. I don't know what's correct. Looks like a lot of work has been done on it. Following is what I had on the car:

    . Odo shows 7,536 km. Undriven/Garaged since ~1990.

    · Two owners prior to 2015. Previous owner acquired the car in ~1972.

    · Motor in car now is from 330 GTC #10097 (parted out in 1976) and has been restamped to match 10445 VIN.

    · Original motor is in 330 GT 2+2 #9047 in Germany.

    · Owner of #9047 was willing to sell as of March 2016. (He subsequently would sell only the entire car, not just swap motors.)

    · Alternative to acquiring original motor is to have Ferrari officially certify/restamp the current motor through a Classiche Red Book certification.

    · #10445 is very complete, with no evidence of significant rust or rot.

    · Silver exterior (original color) repainted ~1990. Beige interior.

    · Motor runs; no problems evident. 140-190 PSI for all cylinders.

    · Some books and tools; spare wheel.

Ferrari will not re-stamp the motor. In this case, they would state in the Red Book, if it met all the other criteria, that it is of the original or correct type and has been replaced.

From the description of the car by the selling dealer, the motor has already been re-stamped with the number of the car, 10445: The second owner, a Canadian, noted that the engine overheated and was sent back to the dealership for repairs. The engine was replaced and re stamped 10445. Ferrari may actually re-stamp it with the correct engine number or note that the engine number has been stamped incorrectly?

On one Classiche Red Book that I looked at, the car had been stated to have the original engine in the Red Book Application Paperwork. The engine number stamped on the engine was the one that matched the car. However, although Ferrari actually ascertained that the engine was of the original type, it had but been replaced, and this was noted it in the Red Book, but left the engine number as it had been submitted, with the incorrect number, but matching the car.

10445 has had a number of owners in Italy in the first five years.

Engine block S/N 10445, numero interno 2958, seen 23 May 1979 at FAF Motorcars, Tucker, GA. Part of a group of cars and parts purchased from Avi R. Brand, New York, NY/USA.
    In 1989 engine block S/N 10445 was in 330 GT 2+2 S/N 9047.
In 2016 the engine block in 10445 had internal number 2810 from S/N 10097.
