The two Ferraris ran 22 and 23 laps equalling Jensen Button's 23 laps as the highest total.

    100% wrong and 100% wrong.

100% right. Mark Webber won the German GP.

    OI! OI! OI!

27 years since an Aussie stood on the top step and only the 3rd Aussie to do so! Here's hoping the unluckiest man in F1 is now the luckiest!

dude. it's just one race. I do not attribute the win to Webber's superb driving skills. Red Bull is running a very strong car now. Same applies to Button as well. F1 is so car dependent these days.

Of course it is, always has been ... except maybe in the early 60's when all the cars were fairly even. Even Fangio won lots of races because he was in the best car. The goal of all drivers in F1 is to END up in the best car, thus the cream rises to the top, and again this is 100% why all drivers have to start in a second tier car to prove their worth.

I just wish the LH bandwagon would acknowledge the same ... and it is plain for all to see that he cannot walk on water and was massively over hyped and is no MS replacement, etc.

Let's face it - Webber was lucky. He drove a great race, is lucky he didn't crash out with his move on the Brawn, and is lucky that the Heiki train held all his potential competitors up.

Well done for Mark, but 1 win in how many hundreds of GP starts? Not exactly the mark of a champion (pun intended). He'll continue to be an also-ran :)

What bet are you talking about?

Mark did well, but as the saying goes, even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while. Webber ain't got the talent to be challenging for the WDC - just a fact.

As for words, there may be many, but they've never gotten me banned and I've never been fired from a moderator position over them. Not everyone can say the same.

Yes, another driver who gets luckier the harder he strives and the better his crew work and car is.
The rest of this season will be interesting.

you obviously forgot the bet about Kimi and to your credit you were going to pay up but I said to forget it

when was the last time a yank won an F1 race ??????????????????????

how many F1 champions have you lot got ???????

how many Yanks won an F1 WDC/WCC in their OWN car ?????????????????

I asked to be removed from the mods list, had better things to do than look after children

"Webber ain't got the talent to be challenging for the WDC - just a fact." <---- he's 1.5 points behind Vettel who is in second but hey, don't let facts get in the way you send us all back a diatribe of waffle on why you're right :p

you're the greatest dribbleking I've ever seen :p

Not in his own car but there was an American GP winner in an American car, prior to the WDC.
He won the French GP in a Duesenberg in the '20s.

    Anything can happen.

For Webber to have chance for WDC all he has to do is drive smart consistent races, no more shooting himself in foot with bad starts and dumb moves. Doubt he'll ever be label as a super talented driver. Just a good driver and the stars finally aligned for him to shine thru.

I put the same label on Button. Not as bad luck as Webber but still not a super talent.
