Does anyone know where the Sat radio (and I'm assuming it's also the Nav) antenna goes on the spider? On the coupe it's on the roof but obviously, it can't for the spider.

    Any pics?

Bob, my dealer just called me and they got their first Spider in and I will see it today (it is another customers car) and ask about your question.

Saw the Spider today. Sounds just as loud as my 458 coup. The sat is located on the back of the car in between to two "vents" that cover the engine.

Debating if I really would trade in my 458 coup for a Spider or wait for the F12 and add that to the 458. Thoughts anyone? BTW was told I could get a spider sometime in 2013.

That sounds pretty quick actually. I was hoping the sound would be louder in the spider than my 2012 coupe.

Anyone know of satellite radio (SATR) must be ordered if one wishes to have Navigation (NAVC)?

I would like to spec navigation but I do not like satellite radio.

I imagine the antenna is included with either option?

Antenna is the same for the GPS and SAT radio. If it were me, I would go ahead and add the SAT radio for as little as it costs. I use the iPod in mine most of the time, but it is nice to have. Certainly won't hurt resale, although likely a much smaller demand overall. If you are gonna have the antenna, might as well get both benefits...

It doesn't, as no-one in Europe has heard of Sat radio.

My car has GPS and not sat radio. It has no roof antenna.

For us in the US, it's a requirement to get the radio antenna if you order GPS. Here it is off the US Spider spec sheet documentation. So, if you want GPS, your real cost of it is $4220.

    Thanks for the replies.

Bdelp, I just called my dealer and they were adamant that it is not required...
Mind you this is for a 2012 coupe and none of the order guides indicate the requirement.
It is possible that we are misinformed, per the contradictory document you posted.

mhh's post is particularly interesting as it also contradicts my dealers belief that the roof antennae will appear with the order of navigation or satellite radio, or both (obviously)

In any case, per the advice of the forum, I will add it to my order to avoid any difficulties, at $750 and change it's not a big deal.

Interesting. But, I think unfortunately your dealer is wrong because spec sheet for coupes and spiders are different. If I read this correctly, it's because the US Nav also includes traffic information, which is updated by satellite. Therefore, US owners need the antenna if they order the Nav.

Here it is directly from the Personalization program of the spider:
