No need to check… 458 has rear glass engine cover, Speciale lexan, not thinner glass. 458, PN: 70002761, 2000$ 458S, PN: 86285100, 5000$ and manufactured to order. Buy one now that you still can… Look for a Scud rear Lexan…… F does not manufacture it anymore.
I think it's actually less than 70% If we are talking 488 v. Pista, then the engine in the Pista has over 50 percent of the components different than the one found in the 488, as the Pista engine is from the Challenge series car (I think the difference is less, or almost nil, if we are comparing F8 to Pista, but we are not ).
I hope all these mentions of ‘Todd’ are a different Todd than me… hmm Anyway, very gay name Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Sh*t, was looking for a good reason to change my dumb name- thanks Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I have owned both the Speciale for 3 years and the Pista for three years. The Pista is superior to it by miles except for one thing… sound. Of course there are after market corrections available for that. They aren’t in the same league. And remember….I owned and driven both for three years. As far as aesthetics no one can seriously argue the Speciale is prettier than the Pista which is one of the most beautiful Ferraris built in history.
MSRP comparison (base non-optioned ) vs aftermarket (low mileage but not crazy low) 458 Italia 237K. vs 230K 458 Speciale 291K. vs 600K 488 GTB 262 K. vs. 275K 488 Pista 330K. vs 540K F8 284K vs. 400k
speciale + v12 (F12, 812 GTS, F12 TDF, 812C your choice)... then if you want a third v8 f-car, pista spider...
Why have another car if you have a speciale. Sell all others including your house if you have to and get a spieciale A. https://www.instagram.com/shahafgalil/
Image Unavailable, Please Login I did not think the poll had a correct answer. Pista and Speciale seemed like the obvious missing option. The only truly collectible F8 with less weight, more downforce is the SP48 Unica: Image Unavailable, Please Login I find I drive the Pista more on the street. I guess it is because it is faster. I love the CS and Speciale.
The poll was based on my personal realistic budget of a regularly usable car approx £150k now and a dream garage car for near future £250-300k. As much as I love the speciale, the values have gone a bit nuts so I'd have to own on it's own and would be scared to put miles on it. I think the best combo is the 458 Italia for regular fun and pista for occasional fun. But I agree, if budget was higher, then speciale and pista. As for V12s, GT cars don't excite me like mid engines.
I'd like to know as well! i tried to get the video going with subtitles but they were also in French.
The guys seems to prefer the Speciale, though the auto translate leaves A LOT to be desired. That being said, this may be one of the worst car videos I've seen. Not a single corner taken. I'm not sure they even know how to turn the steering wheel other than to change lanes on a highway they're going way too fast on given the amount of traffic. Boooooooooring and I'm really not sure you can get a proper appreciation for cars like this without running it through some corners at speed.
