Recently got my self a Speciale, amazing car!
However, today when I should open the engine lid, the “glass” touched the roof and I couldn’t open it. According to the dealer this can happen when the car is hot from standing in the sun and the plastic expands…!?
Has this happened to anyone else?

It is hard to imagine the sun did this. When you park the car after driving it hard on a 100 degree day, the engine has to be producing several times the heat that the sun could cause. While driving you can see the wavy heat in the rear view mirror.

Either way, I'd order another panel from one of the Ferrari parts sites.

I agree, seems a bit weird, if you leave your car in the sun you can’t open your engine lid.
    Thanks!

I don't care what a dealer says, "A Flaw is a flaw is a flaw"! In the old days of Ferrari ownership the excuse was it is hand made. This is somewhat true today, but today's quality controls this isn't acceptable. Go to a high end body shop and I'm sure they can correct it.
