I’m wondering if I’m missing something here because I ordered these plugs from Ricambi and there are no terminal nuts on the new ones. Daniel sent me out another set and they were the same. Went to Napa Auto, and they don’t even sell the nuts. According to this forum, these are the correct plugs. Help? Thanks Image Unavailable, Please Login

The last 2 times I've ordered NGKs they didn't have the caps on so just transferred the ones from the old plugs to the new ones.

Not sure whether it helps explain it or not! LOL

Can you post a side-by-side picture of the spark gap end of both plugs? AFAIK, a NGK DCPR (aka, a "projected" electrode) is not the same as a NGK DR. (Not saying that I know anything about the substitute-ability of each for the other, but would like to see a comparison.)

    DR8EIX is for a 348.

The DCPR9EIX, I expect, should perform rather poorly in a 348.

So am I reading the 348 SPC correctly? The US/CDN 348 use a spark plug with the threaded upper end (like DR8EIX) and the non-US/non-CDN 348 use a spark plug with the solid upper end (like DCPR9EIX -- although the pics at Maranello strangely show solid upper end 348 plug options that are both non-projected, DCR9EIX equivalent, and projected type, DCPR9EVX)? Do the different versions also use different spark plug wires/extenders, or do they assume that the threaded end plugs come with the screw-on solid piece? (Hard to tell if the extender can be separated from the wire, or not).

    OP -- Is your 348 a US/CDN version or a non-US/non-CDN version?

The spark plug I got from Racambi worked grea
I transferred the nut, cleaned, and dielectric greased them. I would go with Ricambi's advice. My plugs worked out great and they were all gapped to spec. Not sure if they are doing the gapping or not, but they worked great.

This is a link to the NGK catalog.

    https://www.ngkpartfinder.co.uk/catalogues/cars/search/spark-plugs/FERRARI/348/1990/11086/

If you click on the link it says threaded terminal.

If you go to page C10 in the owner's manual it shows the original as being the Champion A-6G and the pic shows it as being threaded.

I have always run NGK DR8EIX in mine and they've been absolutely fine. I just took the terminals off the existing plug and transferred them to the new ones.
