I decided to go with Sparco Milano Prestige in red leather. I love the look, leather and Sparco means for me quality. Its not super light but its much lighter than Daytona and lighter even compare standard seats.

I ordered the seats today. Does anyone has experience with installation? Is necessary any additional mounting accesssory? Sparco informed me they dont have anything for 360. They have some UNI sets but I was thinking to take the accessory from current OEM standard seats and re- mount it on the Sparco..... What do you think? I would appreciate for feedback from someone who realy mounted or who has Sparco Milano in 360.

Harmony autosport has mounts for the sparco seat. I talked to them a while back about that, but I decided to go with a one piece seat, which will require me fabricating my own mount.

mounting sparco milano prestige seats in the 360 require modifications of the stock sparco brackets that come with the seats. this is because if u install the seats using the stock sparco brackets, the seats are not in the proper lineup with the steering wheel

Thanks Hubert, it means there is some mounting accessory coming with the seat? I thought it must purchased separately. What do you thing to use OEM brackets from OEM standard seats i have currently?

I too am fitting Black leather milanos to my 360..........

Sparco Europe has no bases for fitting of it's seats but Sparco USA do make a base and this company sell a base to allow straightforward fitting of sparco seat and sliders to the 360 floorpan http://www.racing-seats-usa.com/sp.html just select it from the drop down list.

Although these items would make fitting so much easier I won't be ordering them as the company policy for orders to Europe is to have a fax copy of both drivers licence and credit card details before they will ship the items.....I'm not comfortable with this procedure which I feel is open to identity fraud so will have to fabricate a couple of mounts.

The Milano seat base fittings with sliders are slightly narrower than the Ferrari floorpan mounts so if you do not want to use this base then some custom bracket modification is needed to allow them to fit.......

Having removed one of the seats and sketched a suitable fitting bracket, which is basically just two lengths of steel of suitable thickness, about 2 inches wide bent to about 45 degrees at the front with holes in the appropriate places for the floorpan bolts and the Sparco sliders fittings ( they may also need a couple of lugs each side to accept the seat belt and seat belt retainer bolts), a local engineering company has said that they can fabricate these items.

All in all it is not a major job to fit these seats .

Chris, thańks for description. I can easy fabricate whatever is neccessary. I am just not sure if i have to order anything else from Sparco except seats. You are talking about Sparco sliders - this is included with the new seats or its extra accessory?

You need the seats and the sliders (seat runners) both of which have to be purchased separately........then all you need to do is fabricate brackets that makes allowence for the slightly narrower runner fitment to allow the seat and sliders to mate to the floorpan.

The Sparco seats made specifically for Ferrari have the same seat runner width as the floorpan mounts which allows direct fitment of seat and runners directly to the floorpan.....whereas the aftermarket sparco's are just a bit narrower so requiring an interface to allow fitment.

I've looked high and low for a ready made mount to mount a one piece seat for the 360. Thanks for the link. How are you guys planning to mount the seatbelt? On the stock seat, the belt attaches to the seat itself on the left, and then there is a tab welded to the seat rail that the receptacle attaches to on the right. With a one piece seat, I was planning to take an eyebolt through the side mount, and sandwich the stock belt mount and the seat side mount (for a one piece seat) with a nut and washer on the other side. This would allow me to use the stock belts for street use, and then have eyelet mounting points for harness lap belts.

FYI--I called the company listed above, and Sparco does make an base for its seat to adapt to the 360, but its a custom order deal, and takes 8-10 weeks to get.

Yes that is the one .........I think it is a generic slider and fits all sparco seats.

Part number for slider is 00493

Part number for seat base is 5002080F

If you type Sparco 5002080F into google you will find a few dealers stocking this base but they are all in the USA though.

I'm off skiing for 10 days so will have to wait until I return to purchase the seats and runners .....just in time for the summer months .......can't wait.

Chris, I've dealt with the identity theft problem before, easiest way for companies that insist on the scans is to scan your details in the usual way then photshop edit some of the numbers leaving just a few left in. In this way nobody has your full details and yet usually this is sufficient. Its like todays receipts which have lots of *** and just a few numbers on them (not the whole card number). Try sending them in that way and you should have no problem being able to order !

    Good luck,

    Trev

If you buy the seat base there is already a lug attached for the seat belt recepricle but I'm not suer about the belt itself......if you are having some mounts manufactured then it is up to you how you design the bracket as to where the seatbelt mounts will be.....I'm still going with the latter as I feel that it gives me a bit more freedom about how I position the seats for my own comfort.

I'm afraid that's opening an even bigger can of worms, unless your car is a euro that has the harness mount attachments already welded in the car. My friends euro 2000 does not. Otherwise your choices are to weld in plates that are steel sandwiched in between two pieces of aluminum to your firewall (for the shoulder belts). Not a small job b/c all of the ecu's have to be disconnected to do so. Otherwise, you can have a harness bar fabricated using already present mounting positions. Or, even further you could do a rollbar. For the lap belts, you can mount those the same way as in challenge cars, or more simply you can buy the Sparco adaptor since you are doing the Milano, and its made for a two piece seat.

My Sparco Milano's in Black leather arrived this morning complete with the seat runners......they do look rather good and after sitting in them on the garage floor the seat comfort is spot on. They are not as all encompassing as the Ferrari CF sports seats but then again I only paid just over 2k for them so have saved myself about 4k by going down the aftermarket route. Now all that I am waiting for are the seat base adapters which I have ordered from the US. I will post some pictures when they have been installed.......

Chris, when did you make the order? I ordered 4 weeks ago and still waiting for delivery. They told me that normal delivery time is 4 weeks so i have to wait. I ordered via distributor in Germany. They say that these seats are NOT normaly at stock in Sparco and for this reason it takes 4 weeks. I ordered pair in red leather (maybe thats the reason). Also 2k you mention looks like great price. I paid 2400 eur for the pair hich was best price i found in Europe.....

I purchased the seats from a company called "Demon Tweeks" who are uk based. I ordered them just under 3 weeks ago. The 2k that I paid was in £ GBP,so 2400 euros is about the same.

The custom made bases came out at $200 US + shipping costs. These I ordered last week from a company based in the US called "Werks 2" , they have advised about a 3 week delivery schedule.

The red leather is probably causing your delay.
